Chapter 3 : Finishing Touches

-=Shards POV=-

"I see. So there's a slight chance of us being found out. Damn it. Do you have any ideas General?" I asked.

"No, I'm out of ideas right now. What I can think of, is rushing these Cadets training. We never told them when their graduation is. We can't risk our base being found out yet," Marek responded.

Angel and Sydd sadly nodded. And I was being overruled. I couldn't ask for Silver to help, because he was asleep.

I punch the table as I see Silver shoot up, he stared at me with his helmet off. "What?" He asked, yawning.

"We're being tracked by the CIS and-" I was about to finish before getting cut off.

"WHAT WHY ARE WE JUST SITTING HERE ARE THE CADETS SAFE WHATS GOI-" Then he was cut off by a slap from Angel.

"Such a kid," she said shaking her head.

Sydd chuckled. "What I think Shard was about to finish. Is that they haven't found us yet and we're debating what to do," Sydd finished.

"Exactly. Marek, Sydd, and Angel think rushing the training can help. What do you think?" I asked.

Silver looked down in thought, putting his helmet back on. He went silent.

Is he really in thought that much? I took off his helmet to see he's asleep again. I nod at Angel as she slaps him again. "Okay fine. I agree with rushing it if they get the proper training," he finished going back to sleep.

"Four against one Shard," Sydd said, walking out with Angel, dragging Silver with them.

I sighed looking at Marek. He looked at me then looked down.

This went on for a while longer than it should've. I stood up and grabbed my blaster, and headed towards the exit.

"I know you don't want it like this Shard. But it's the only way for the plan to work," Marek finished.

I didn't reply. I just walked out.

-=Angel's POV=-

Sydd and I arrived back at base, dragging Silver into his bed. Sydd sighed taking off his helmet. I went over towards Silver taking off his helmet, and then taking mine off. I let my hair go down. I sighed sitting down in a chair.

I thought about the Cadet program we put in place together. I put my hands together looking down. My thoughts only being interrupted by a familiar voice. "What's wrong. It's not normally like you to be deep in thought," Sydd told me, having his hands on the back of his head.

I chuckled, looking towards him. "Geez Sydd. I can't hide anything from you can I?" I asked laughing.

Sydd nodded looking walking out for a second. I followed as he looked out a window. I looked outside as well, seeing a star.

Sydd kept looking at the stars shining. His eyes landed on something else, as I noticed the LAAT landing too. "Guess the Commander is here huh," I said quietly.

He remained quiet for a little, "Guess so. You see those stars?" He replied pointing, "each one is a sun, with Planets orbiting around it. I always wonder if there is another Galaxy like ours out there. But we'll never find out. Anyways, let's greet the Commander."

We walked towards the entrance, waiting there. Commander Shard walked in with General Marek. We saluted as we got our normal 'at ease'. I went back to the bunks, checking on Silver. Surprisingly he was wide awake, sitting up.

I looked at me, a smile forming. "I'm gonna assume you and Sydd brought me back," Silver spoke letting out a loud yawn.

"You assumed correctly. Just so you know, you need to lose some weight. You're kinda heavy," I told him giggling.

He sat up and ran at me. I ran out the bunks as he followed. "WHY YOU! GET BACK HERE!" He yelled chasing me.

I laughed as I ran outside of Vulptex Base. Running back inside after dodging him. We ran past Sydd as he shakes his head in shame. Shard laughed as the General seemed happy. We got to the training room where I tripped on the floor, lying on my back.

Time slowed as Silver tripped on the same thing, landing on top of me. His breath landing right on my face, our breathing in sync. "You should brush your teeth," I said breaking the moment.

Silver got up, lending a hand to me. "Maybe I should stay asleep next time.." Silver said putting a hand behind his head.

I giggled as he walked away.
