Chapter 2

All throughout class Jughead couldn't stop staring at the little redheaded boy. Why's he so nice to me? Jughead asked himself. No one had really ever cared about him. When he'd get pushed around they'd all laugh or sometimes even join in. So why didn't Archie? Why did Archie help him up?

At recess Jughead sat alone under a tall old tree. He had just pulled out one of his favourite books when he saw someone approaching him. It was Archie. The small boy ran over to Jughead.

"Would you like to play cars with me?" Archie asked, pulling out two toy cars from his pocket. Jughead just nodded as he was too shy to really say anything. He'd never played with anyone before besides his little sister Forsythia who he liked to call Jellybean.

"Why do they call you Jughead?" Archie asked as the pair drove their cars through the grass.

Jughead shrugged "It's better than my real name"

"Can I call you Juggie?"

Jughead smiled at that and nodded and and continued dragging his car along. At the end of recess Jughead went to hand the small car back to Archie but he shook his head.

"You can keep it Juggie." He said. This meant a lot to him since Jughead didn't have many toys at home besides a few toy soldiers. His mom and dad really couldn't afford it but Jughead had wanted some toy cars for a while now.

"Thank you." Jughead replied with a huge smile on his face. The pair hanging out would soon become a regular thing. They'd play cars every recess and then eat lunch together, making jokes and smiling. After a while they became quite good friends.

Sorry for the short chapter I've been busy!! Also didn't really know how to continue the chapter.
