Surgery

Deanos POV
Its now been 17 hours since she went to the OR and we are all very concerned but our prayers are answered as a pair of surgeons enter the waiting room and say "Anyone waiting for Molly Yamazaki?" I stand up immediately and say "I'm waiting. How is she?" The surgeon says "Shes alright we removed the aneurysm and shes on her way to intensive care at this moment I can only allow one visitor until she is awake." Hoppo says "Go mate we will wait here." I follow the surgeons to the ICU and to her bed area and I have never seen someone so sick, tubes and stickers everywhere and I look to the monitor that shows her vital signs and I see her heart rate is just normal at 77 beats per minute and I look to her hand and see the rolls of paper she was holding onto earlier still in her hand and I rub the back of her hand softly with my thumb telling her "I'm here Molly I wont leave you." I sit down in the chair and kiss her hand softly and I say "You have nothing to worry about you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen."

Molly's POV
I slowly awaken after my surgery in the Intensive Care Unit to see Deano passed out in the chair beside my bed and I'm itchy and my throat is dry and then I start bucking the ventilator and that sends the ICU into craziness as the team come running over and Deano wakes up to the madness and I am panicing trying to rip out my Central Veinous line and Deano says "Stop your scaring her. Just let me talk to her for a moment!" I look to him and he sees the terror in my eyes and says "Its okay Molly, I looked into your family and found out about your adoptive parents, they are on a flight from Japan right now, Your sisters are coming too." I pull my hand up to point at the tube and the doctor says "Were going wait just a couple of hours before we extubate you Mids Yamazaki because there were some complications during the surgery and they had to put you on cardiac bypass and stop your heart to fix part of the aneurysm. But your heart is doing just fine, your twelve lead shows some diffuse runs of A-fib but that seems normal for you judging by your medical history, your echo shows good cardiac contraction well as best as it can be in a failing heart." I nod and sign for a whiteboard and marker and I am given those things and I write "Diffuse runs of A-fib? That's actually not normal it usually means that ive had some sort of an MI." He nods and says "Well lets run another twelve lead just to be safe." Deano looks at me confused as I write on the board and turn it towards him "I did 4 and a half years of Medical School before I had to drop out due to my heart." He nods and says "Alrighty then hun, the guys are here if you want me to send them in." I write "Send in Quinno and Yak please?" He smiles a bit and says "Medical professionals! When one is sick others want to freak out!" And he leaves and sends them in and I write "Crazy day for me to arrest aye?" Quinno starts chuckling as he says "I remember first meeting you when you were 17, you were doing your EMS rotation and we were partnered up, I thought you werent going to be a good paramedic but you proved me wrong that day, you know way more than the entire New South Wales Ambulance Service what with your IQ being as high as it is." Yak asks "What's her IQ?" I write again "274." His jaw drops and he says "Bloody Hell you must be the smartest person on the earth right now." Quinno says "She was a tiny thing at 17, 4'8 13 kilos, but she could woup ass any day, she carried a backpack with the leads connecting to her monitor which sat in the backpack, she is crazy, we had a call where there was a child trapped after a tornado and she defied direct orders from the chief of the fire service to not go into the building and she still went in and came out not a scratch." I write on my white board "I only defied orders because I know what its like to see your family die right in front of you."
