I appreciate all forms of honesty
I wanna know if the way
The sun rised on my side burned
your eyes.
I wanna know if the coffee in
my pot
Was too hot.
I wanna know if
The skin so delicately
placed
over my muscle
&
Bone
Offends you in any way!
I wanna know if I caused the
Shade you endured today and if it
Hurt like it Hurt me.I wanna know if the hair
Growing from my scalp
Itches on your head.
I wanna know if the key that opens
My door opens yours.
I wanna know if the flowers
rotting on my counter
Makes your house stink like it does mine.I wanna know the power of
your words on my life.
I wanna know the curses
So I can make them blessings.
I wanna know if your new moon
Is my full moon.I wanna know if you know
That what I say
Has no effect on you.
I appreciate all forms of honestyI just wanna know if you know that
I don't know.
I am unaware
I am ignorant
I am selfish
I am changeI wanna know if you know
I am freeI wanna know if you know
That I am no longer bound to
The emptiness inside me.I wanna know if you know
That my wings have finally came in.
My crown is set on my head.I wanna know if my sun rise hurt you
And your new moon was my full moon.
I wanna knowIf you know
That I have never been
Who they say I am.
