Everyday they come to play
they share a song and run around.
Everyday the seem to be
perfect beings
without a flaw, without a scratch.
Everyday, every waking moment
these beautiful beings
run from their parents
without a care in the world
of anything to happen
Yet throughout the world
there is fear
the fear of being hung for
being who you are
The world of which we live has broken down
there is no need to feel
threatened by the people in your own country
we were all created equal,
not one before another
and it I didn't know any better
I'd say
Its hard to see a child today
smile with case of trouble or fear
So how do you teach a child to smile
if not even you know how
How can you teach a child to smile
when the tears fall day and night
working hard to get home without
there being bills on the table,
spreading salt on a wound that could be
healed with as much as a hug
a kiss
a band-aid of love
A child knows what a child see's
and as a child it takes positivity
to smile
to play
to love
but to most importantly to laugh
and to laugh with the hope
of one day waking up to
peace and love
not malice and depression.
