Back in the days it was a crime to be black. To look like me. Illegal for blacks to date outside of their race and create a better life in general because of systematic racism. Redlining kept people of color and immigrants of the US in impoverished neighborhoods racked with drugs and violence. The United States of America was built on the backs of slaves. The White House was built by slaves and the land surrounding it was cultivated by them as well. There are thousands of acres of land that my ancestors built and where buried under that many a house and apartments it upon.
Some days just even being black is a death sentence. They're killing the black man at higher rates. Diagnosing black children with ADHD when they aren't being taught the way they need to, drugging up our men and then making their hustles illegal, throwing them in jail for life in petty theft charges. They killed Emmet Till for simply even being black in the south.
The Tulsa Race Riots, was a terrorist attack, and the biggest one of American history. ~200 casualties. What are we suppose to do?
Being black is an honor. Being able to stand up for yourself and knowing your rights is by far the most important thing for a black body! Learn as much as you can about your government. See them for who they are and what they've done. Chances are you can make change current.I love you guys!
