Wings of Fire The heart of the storm

chapter six

I fought against the chains that held me back, they tugged on my emotions ripping apart every ounce of power I had over them making me confused on why I was made like this, like a monster... then it snapped my mind broke, I stopped breathing. I was free, or so I thought. I soared down, hitting the ground with an almighty thud sending dust flying with out a second of thought i lunged over her, my talons grinded his scales before stabbing into his pinkish grey skin, I looked him dead in the eye and smirked wrenching my talons further into his skin, his cries echoed throughout the arena, his tail swung around smacking me in the face I unhooked my talons and grabbed the end of his tail between my teeth, he was heavy but I was stronger I swung my head and threw him to the other side. I stood shaking, I had no control of my twitching and armored body, I looked up, everyone was cheering, I looked back to Artemis, she was sitting and licking a small scar on her forearm, I turned back to Voidrider. I felt a small tickle run up along my spine, I was starting to charge.

Five minutes had passed, and we were both staring at each other, thats when he started to charge at me, his galloping talons throwing dust as he prepared a fire breathe, he opened his mouth the fire flew out as I dodged, taking a step away he charged again opening his mouth ready to try and hit me, this time I let loose all of the charge, my lightning swirled around and slapped him in the face. Everyone gasped and screamed some flew off, others called the guards. My power started to grow. A box of arrows lay at the gate of the arena, I started to feel a completely different power, I roared clutching my head as arrows flew past at what seemed like the speed of light, striking him down.
He layed there not moving, an arrow flew back and dropped to the ground in front of me. Blood trickled off.

Hurricane, Earthquake and an unknown dragon stood around the small dragon protecting her from the guards, I stood up tall and proud of my success watching the dragons brave enough to stick around or that were being forced to stay, keeping close eye contact with all four guards. That's when it happened, her movements were fast, fire swirled up around us spitting and flaring its scale-melting heat at three guards, the fourth running, screaming. we soared up above the blood stained sand of the death bounded walls of the queens royal arena, away from all the dark memories that seemed to engulf the other four dragons, I of course didn't know what happened to them that made them so scared of so called Voidrider, to me he had just been used to extremely easy opponents like Artemis. The sky felt so clear, darkness rolled out its blanket over us, small dots illuminated its vast ocean like atmosphere with small shades of yellow and white. The fourth unfamiliar dragon turned out to be Scarfire, (her description) "Whoa mate, that was incredible, I'm defiantly staying with you guys. sure wouldn't want to fight you mate. you know with your lightning breath... scary. ha lol!" she tilted her head towards me, blushing wildly, before diving off into the sea of endless clouds.

we landed on the shores of my homeland, the sweet smell of endless destruction. Tramea. my father was pacing on the balcony of the royal palace, then noticed us landing. It suddenly hit me, it hit me like someone daring to punch me. my father has powers like no other. "I poses my fathers power, I'm an anumis!"
