chapter 12

James woke up to see that the bed was empty. It was quiet and he knew that wasn't good. That was, until he heard a bottle breaking from that 'hidden' room Severus always hid in and a small yelp. He went into panic mode and ran to the room. He swung open the door and saw the blood. Sev was in one of his moods swings but this time, he took it a bit too far.

James went over to sev and saw Silver in the other side of the room who was hissing and growling loudly a sev, a small shard of glass in her tail. Then, there was Draco. He was in a corner, shaking wildly while looking horrified at Severus. His head was slightly bloodly and his hand had a tiny cut but he was ok. James grabbed Sev by the wrist and, dispite his protests rolled up his sleeves. He went wide eyed at the amount of cuts and scars. His wrists were cut but not slit, making James think sev tried to kill himself but Draco may of stopped him. James glared at the raven haired male who just had his head on his knees, possibly lightly crying. Draco grabbed silver and calmed her down.

"He tried to fucking kill me and silver!" Draco yelled. James looked a Sev's face which was one of guilt. James got done bandaging and cleaning his wrists then went over to the two others and helped the cat first then the teen.

After all was said and done, sev apologized to Draco, sincerely, and promised James he would stop the harmful habits of over drinking and cutting.

A few days later, James had something on his mind. He wanted to live with severus for the rest of his life. He found Harry in the hallway and pulled him into the room, since sev was talking with McGonagall and basically apologizing to everyone about his behavior of being so frustrated and stuff.

"What is it?"

"Ok, so, I have something on my mind and I wanted to know if you're ok with this."

"Ok...?"

"I uh.... May of thought about proposing to severus." Harry listened as James explained why. "I mean-"

"Dad. He lost almost everything, he lost his first love, mom, he lost his pride, he lost his cat, he nearly lost you a few times because of the fights of how much he drinks, and he nearly lost his son, whom I've dated before you guys got together but after you showed up we knew it would possibly end this way so we have to split. But, still, it would be nice if Sev had someone to stay with the rest of his miserable life." Harry joked at the last two words. "So-"

"Yes. What I'm saying is; don't be a damn pussy and fucking marry his whiney ass." James was a little relieved that Harry was ok with this. And he knew Draco would be ok as well.

Sev taught his class and for once wasn't a huge ass. "No-" a small explosion. "Weasley..." Sev groaned, setting his head on his desk. He tried his best not to snap and was actually doing well. That was until someone began to talk shit about James and he just snapped. He went up behind the student. "shit- PROF-"

"Pansy... I gave you one too many chances to get away with this type of stuff. But talk shit about James, Draco, Harry, or McGonagall, be glad I'm not able to expell you but I am able to give you detention, have you hand clean this entire school, and have you spend the rest of your fucking day with hagrid. But you won't be seeing hagrid until tonight so be fucking happy. Now get your dumbass back to work." Sev grumbled before going back to his desk. "60 points from Slytherin on account of Pansy's shit she's talking." He growled. James opened the door just enough to see Sev's angry expression go back to a calm one. "What is it James I'm trying to tea-"

"Ju-just get your ass into the hallway please." Sev raised and eyebrow before stepping out of his class. The students heard a small muffled fight that lasted for two seconds.

"Just fucking meet me at the lake."

"Fine." Sev growled. He went back into the classroom after James left. He then began to give out a few tests. "30 points will be given if anyone gets an A. 2 points deducted if you get an F." Everyone was pretty happy it wasn't anything above ten points deducted. "If one Gryffindor gets an F, it'll be two points from each Gryffindor in the room." Sev said blankly. "That goes for all houses in here." Everyone glared at Sev's evil smirk as he watched everyone take the test. It was easy, stuff they learned last month. He softly began to hum to himself as he walked to the classroom doors. "When you finish, set your tests on my desk and no cheating. Remember, i got someone to tell if when. You teach." Snape smirked as filtch walked in.

Sev headed to the forbidden forest after he changed into his favorite shirt, that he stole from James and is way to big on him to where is kind of looks like a dress, his favorite shorts because he's a gay boy, and some black slides. He used the normal clear path he always used to get to the lake. He wasn't really expecting much but, there was the picnic. He jumped as something grabbed him from behind yet he left the familiar fluffy brown hair brush against his neck. "James what did I tell you about sneaking up on me life that!?" James chuckled. "I don't give a shit if you hit me snev." Sev blushed deeply as he felt James grope his ass. He turned around and slap James. "Bad." James whinced and let go of Sev. The sat down and began to eat.

After they were done, James sighed. "You're normally not this quiet. Is something on your mind Pott-"

"Willyoumarryme."

"... What?"

"WILL YOU MARRYMESEV!?" James squeaked. His face a crimson mess. Sev comprehended what James said and tackled the taller male into the lake, a small smile on his face. "Yes you dumbfuck." James purred and kissed sev and chuckled. "Shortie."

"I'm not short."

"I'm 6'3. You're 6'0."

"... U right..." Sev mumbled. James booped his fiánce's nose and saw his face scrunch up. "Don't touch my nose Potter."

"But it calms you down when you're scared, does it not? You have a few off switches. You're hair, you're feet, you're nose, and the back of your neck."

".... You pay attention to me too much."

"Exactly dumbo."

"If I didn't love you, I'd kill you." James chuckled. He would enjoy having a family with Sev.

Sev is now a Potter unless you want me to keep it Snape for the next book.
