Anna's POV
(A/N There are two parts to this chapter because I had sudden inspiration a 20 past 2 this morning and there was way too much to fit into one chapter so yeah. Enjoy (: (: (: )
It had been a week since that first text and I was way past worried and right the way into complete panic mode. 'What if he thought I was a complete freak or maybe he just sent me that text because he felt sorry for me and he could tell I hadn't dated in a while' I thought to myself as I got ready for work that night. I'd tried talking to Esk but she just told me to leave it for now she was sure he was just busy and he'd get in touch when he could but I could tell she was just saying that to get me to shut up, calm down and leave her alone. Storing my valuables, purse and coat in the storeroom at the back of the night club building I checked my phone one last time to see if I had any messages from him but of course no such luck. I tucked the phone away into my purse and slipping into my work uniform, I was determined to get over this crazy obsession with a guy is just met. Plastering a fake smile across my face I stepped behind the bar and got to work serving the endless stream of customers in front of me. It was a couple of hours later when Esk and Laurence came into the bar and I'd just managed to catch a breather. " Hi you guys, have you had a fun night? What can I get you to drink?" I asked as I walked over to them. " Two vodkas, please, Anna" Laurence replied, pulling a stool out for Esk. " And make them doubles babe, I want to be floating on cloud nine before the next hour is done" Esk interjected placing her hands on the bar top and tapping her fingers. "Coming right up." I told them smiling so brightly at the perfectness of them both that it physically hurt my cheeks. Setting their drinks down in front of them both I leant against the bar top and we started chatting about what we had all been up to through the week and I questioned them both on what they'd been up to on their dates together. "So Anna, have you heard from Kier yet? He said he texted you to say he would be coming here tonight." Laurence told me at a lull in the conversation. "What?? No! I haven't heard anything from him all week, the jerk texted me once to say he hoped we could meet up again and that was it I've had nothing since." I told him outraged. "Oh wow that doesn't sound like Kier I swear he wouldn't do that never in a million years there had to be a good explanation." He reassured me. "I bloody well hope so." I grumbled to him quietly and saw the edges of his lips curve up slightly. I went back to the sink behind the bar to clear up the few glasses that had been collected, more as something to do and keep my hands busy than anything else. Humming along with the song the band was playing, I got caught up in the tune and started dancing a little behind the bar. A voice came from behind startling me "Hello love. Did you miss me?" I spun around and stared at Kier outraged. "Did I miss you? Did I miss you?! An entire week of no contact at all and that's all you can ask me?!! Yes of course I bloody missed you! I spent every spare minute checking my phone to see if you'd texted me yet. Laurence said you were supposed to text me to say you'd be here tonight but did you? Did you hell! How could you do that to me? Send me the sweetest goodnight message after we spent an entire night talking to each other telling me you wanted to see me again and would be thinking of me often. Well that was quite obviously bullshit. So I spent the entire week worrying that it was my fault and I'd done something wrong." By the end of my speech I was breathless and crying silently. Kier just stood there, a shocked expression on his face. "Well?? Say something, please" I begged him. He stood frozen for a couple more seconds before slowly asking "When do you next have a break? I think we need to talk in private." I stood there and processed his words before saying "Sure I guess my next breaks in 15" He nodded and went to join Laurence. I watched Laurence lean forward to listen to something Kier said before Kier slipped onto the seat next to him. I put together a G&TC the same drink as Kier had had last week. Walking slowly towards them I pulled myself together and placed the drink in front of him, he looked up at me in surprise and said "Thanks love you didn't have to" I just shrugged and went down to the opposite end if the bar to serve a customer.
10 minutes later and it was time for my break, I wiped the bar down and signalled to Will , the other bar tender working tonight, before I went through the gap in the bar to meet Kier. As I reached the threesome Kier excused himself to walk toward me and I saw Esk give me an encouraging look from behind his back, I just smiled at her nervously.
(A/N So I already have another half to this chapter written and ready to upload once I've finished editing just thought I'd give you something to go along with whilst I have a complete breakdown <3 Enjoy :) Anna xox )
