Chapter 6: I'd left it a week part 2

Kier's POV

(A/N It's ended up being a three part because for some reason I have more to write about with Kier o.O I really don't know why)

Laurence had told me that he and Esk would be going to the club again tonight and asked me if I wanted to tag along and see Anna again. I hadn't told him that I'd gotten back together with Elaine yet, I couldn't, I knew how he'd react after all he had always hated her why would that change now. Yet at the same time I couldn't exactly say 'Sure I'd love to come to the club with you to see the girl I can't ever be with.' And then have him find out about me and Elaine that way. I sighed and texted Laurence back telling him I'd be there I'd meet him in the usual place. Later on as I was getting ready for the club I debated whether or not to text Anna and tell her to pretend that we'd been talking all week so I could explain everything to her in private without Laurence around. I quickly dismissed the idea, it wouldn't be fair on her I'd just have to hope she wouldn't make a big deal of it, I mean we'd only know each other those few hours she couldn't be so bothered I bet she has loads of guys falling over each other to date her she won't even remember me. With that hope in my head I stepped out of the flat, locked the door and with my hands in my pockets headed off to get a taxi.

Stepping out of the taxi I threw some notes at him, took a deep breath and walked in through the doors of the club. Pushing my way through the crowd I headed straight for the bar and instantly spotted Anna dancing behind the bar 'God why does she have to be so perfect. Seriously her dancing is atrocious but she still looks good doing it, no I can't think like that I'm back with Elaine now.' At last I reached the bar, I noticed Laurence giving me an almost angry but at the same time confused look. I ignored the look and waved hi at both him and Esk before turning to say to Anna, "Hello love. Did you miss me?" she spun around so fast I thought she'd fall. "Did I miss you? Did I miss you?! ..... Yes of course I bloody missed you! I spent every spare minute checking my phone to see if you'd texted me yet.......... Did you hell! How could you do that to me?....the sweetest....... Well that was quite obviously bullshit......... worrying that it was my fault and I'd done something wrong." I only caught bits and pieces of her impassioned speech because she talking so fast but my mind could fill in the blanks. She stood staring at me anger evident in her eyes and her body language obviously waiting for me to respond but I had nothing to say. 'How could I answer that? If I told her the truth..... Well I'm going to have to aren't I?' I realised she was still talking to me and quickly gave her all my attention. "Well?? Say something, please" She was begging me, the pleading look on her face made me want to run and hide but I couldn't do that not to her so i asked "When do you next have a break? I think we need to talk in private." She looked shocked that she wasn't getting her answers now but agreed telling me she got off in 15 minutes. I nodded and slowly went to join my best mate and his new girlfriend. The minute he noticed me he immediately started asking me a million questions basically saying what the hell had happened. I listened for a few seconds trying to get a word in and explain but he kept bombarding me with them. Slipping onto the stool next to him I said "Laurence can you just shut up a minute? Please. I'll explain to you later something's happened I'm meeting Anna in a couple minutes to explain to her first. Just leave it for now ok? Thanks." Laurence looked at my face hard for about 30 seconds before nodding slowly but with a look that said there would be words to be had later. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Anna slowly walking towards us, I was expecting her to completely ignore me and talk to Esk so I was really surprised when she placed a glass of G&TC in front of me my drink. I looked up and managed to say "Thanks love you didn't have to" She shrugged and left to serve another customer. I spent the next 10 minutes talking to Laurence and Esk about how their weeks had been somehow managing to dodge questions about my week, before I knew it it was time for Anna's break and my explanation. I excused myself and walked towards her.
