I have to work hard to earn so much points, Chaeya thought. Apparently, kimcorp gives recognition to hardwork and overtime and also, the company's bonus salary is very astounding, no wonder why nearly everyone around her seems to be in a good mood, they're paid well. She also noticed that not alot of employess works in the top floor.

Buzz!

The pager emitting a loud sound jolted Chaeya in surprise.

"If the pager makes a sound, don't hesitate to rush to Mr. Kim's office." Leyla's words echoes to her mind.

"Mr. Kim?" Chaeya spoke as she neared Mr. Kim's table.

"What time is it?" Mr. Kim asked without bothering to look up from the files before him.

"11:33 sir." Chaeya replied while trying to straighten any possible crease in her attire.

"Okay. What's my schedule for today?"

"None sir." Chaeya meekly replied.

"Really?" Mr. Kim asked menacingly now staring at her form.

"Yes sir." Chaeya firmly replied with a nod.

"Please tie your hair."

"Yes sir?"

"Tie your hair." Mr. Kim demanded.

"O-okay." Chaeya stuttered as she internally panics for a hairtie. Almost immediately, as if the world acknowledges her panic, Mr. Kim gestures towards the side of his table where suprisingly- bundle of hairties are found.

"Thank you." Chaeya mumbles as she turned around to tie her hair, she didn't realize how jittery she is until she notices her hands slightly shaking, she decided to take a deep breath before turning back around- and another turn since she realizes, she haven't tied her hair up yet. A chuckle could be heard from her behind, obviously it was Mr. Kim, observing Chaeya's jittery form.

"I don't bite." Mr. Kim playfully said- as a way to calm her down.

As she finishes with her hair, she couldn't help but feel annoyed with the escaping strands in the side of her face, this is due to her layered hair-cut, the front part of her hair happens to be short and can't be tamed with the hairtie.

"Where do I eat lunch?" Mr. Kim asked.

"Ms. Leyla made a reservation for you at a restaurant- for lunch." Chaeya exclaimed with all the confidence she could muster.

"Okay, let's go." Mr. Kim replied as he lifts his self up from his chair also aiming for his coat.

On the car ride towards the restaurant, Chaeya can't seem to stop from staring at the window to and fro with the interior of the car. On her left side is Mr. Kim staring in to space, where his vision lands on the driver's head.

"When Mr. Kim's schedule is free, always book him lunch at a restaurant for his breather, Eddie knows where this is. Café Busan, it's Mr. Kim's favorite restaurant- and no, it's not actually in Busan." Chaeya tries to recall what Leyla told her, repeating Café Busan in her head in a chant, just to clear her nervousness.

"Mr. Kim, we have arrived at your destination." The driver, Eddie dramatically announces as if he's talking with a royal. As Eddie opens up the door for both of them, he bows towards Mr. Kim which made Mr. Kim chuckle but nevertheless, he bowed in return which surprised Chaeya, who knew Mr. Kim is capable of improvs.

"After you, Ms. Woo." Eddie said while gesturing towards the restaurant, which made Chaeya smile.

"Are you not coming?" Chaeya mouthed towards Eddie, in which Eddie waves in return as a no. Chaeya's chest starts to beat wildly once again as another moment with Mr. Kim alone is about to happen.

Chaeya rushes to Mr. Kim's side as a lady in her uniform asks,

"Reservations?"

"Yes, under Kim Taehyung." Chaeya replies with a bit of authority in her tone which made her clear her throat immediately.

That was too much, she thought.

"Table for 2, under Kim Taehyung, this way." The lady in her uniform gestures for us to follow.

Chaeya tries to look at the interior in a less obvious way, to avoid reeking ignorance in her surprised face. Chaeya's face twist in confusion as they headed towards a room.

"Oh." Chaeya gasped inaudibly as she realizes it's a seperate room from the rest of the restaurant which screams VVIP. Mr. Kim padded accross the room as he settled in his seat, Chaeya remained standing feeling dense about what she's supposed to do.

"Have a seat Miss Woo." Mr. Kim gestures as he notices Chaeya's dumbfounded expression.

"Thank you." Chaeya replied.

"Please choose." Mr. Kim said as he pushed another menu towards Chaeya.

"No thanks sir."

"What do you want?" Mr. Kim asked firmly.

"Whatever you'll have sir." Chaeya replied and she thinks it's a wrong move because Mr. Kim is currently eyeing at the most expensive dishes in the menu.

Shit, she thought.

"Excuse me sir." The same female earlier interrupts as she returns standing from her place earlier, Chaeya didn't even notice that she left. After catching Mr. Kim's attention, the female slid down another- somewhat menu towards Mr. Kim. A menu that has a different color from what they had earlier.

"So, Miss Woo, how are you?" Mr. Kim starts a conversation as they are now left alone on the quiet room.

"I-I'm fine, thank you." Chaeya replies meekly.

"Do you plan working on kimcorp after you graduate in your Masters'?" Mr. Kim asks then proceeds to sip on his wine.

"Yeah." She lied while diverting her attention to the baroque designs of the interior.

"You're lying." Mr. Kim firmly stated.

"I-I- What?" She asks, confusion printed in her face.

"I know when my employees lie." Mr. Kim stated with a passive look on his face.

"Miss Woo, are you aware that this year's been a year of hiring and firing?" Mr. Kim interrogated, his look sharp on Chaeya.

"No sir." Chaeya replied in embarrassment as she has done absolutely zero research about kimcorp.

"My employees have dropped nearly 40% this year, I realized that kimcorp has actually over employed- which is unneccesary and a burden for our salaries expense,"

"And mind you, I can't believe our human resource director has been hiring kins- if there's one thing I hate, it would be lying." Mr. Kim spoke as he places his empty glass at the table.

"The company, for the longest of times- has produced employees through nepotism. The human resource director did not just lie to my face but also hired incompetent employees."

"He worked for kimcorp for nearly 20 years, and when he was fired? The company starts getting better, salaries started going to the deserving people and all we had to take down was a single liar."

"The previous CEO has so much faith in him but he lets him down."

"Miss Woo, I am not trying to faze you, but even with the smallest things, don't lie to me." Mr. Kim said as he ended his rant.

"Yes sir." Chaeya replied then gulped on her wine afterwards.
