The Next Morning
As an off-ramp is being lowered on the ship, you and Blake allow the passengers to disembark as the faunus children from yesterday wave goodbye to you, and with a small smile you also wave back. Soon, you and Blake make your way from the deck to the off-ramp, while you quietly observe the town and notice that it has many small buildings and homes set among dunes and palm trees. You even notice the town bell that is ringing in the distance.
Blake: Y(N)...(You turn to her)...Before we go any further, I need you to do something.
Y(N): What is it?
Blake: (Removes her bow to expose her cat ears) You are going to have to-
Y(N): Stop, I already know what you're going to ask....And I'm not doing it.
Blake: (Crosses her arms) Y(N), if you don't reveal your tail, then everyone is going to think that you are a human.
Y(N): Let them, I don't care what they think about me.
Blake: If we want to stay discreet and avoid trouble, then you need to expose your tail. The faunus here do not take kindly to outsiders, especially humans.
Y(N): Well, then it's a good thing I'm not human.
Blake: That's not the point, Y(N)! Most faunus here will attack you if they think you're a human!
Y(N): Then I'll kill them, problem solved. (You jokingly smirk and chuckle)
Blake: This is not something to joke about!
Y(N): (You gain a serious expression) Who said I was joking?
Blake is caught off-guard by your serious expression as she stares at you with a surprised expression...Until you started laughing and she scowls and smacks you on the shoulder.
Blake: That wasn't funny, Y(N)!
Y(N): Oh, come on Blake, you should already know that I'm not going to hurt anyone, I made a promise and my word is my bond. So, there is no way I'm going to kill a few faunus just because they think I'm a human....However, I guess you are right about being discreet...Plus I've been hiding my tail for far too long anyway.
You unravel your brown tail from your waist as it moves in all directions. You stretch your tail from side to side as Blake continually stares at it.
Blake: You really do have such a beautiful tail.
Y(N): That's funny, I was going to say the same about your ears. They are quite wonderful, and also quite useful at times.
Blake: (Blushes and quickly turns her head away) O-Oh....T-Thank you...(Her blush disappears and she turns back to you)...I-If you don't mind me asking...Why do you hide your tail if you are not bothered by how others think about you?
Y(N): Tell me, what does my tail closely resemble in your world?
Blake: It seems very similar to the tail that Sun has. Except yours doesn't match your hair color like Sun's tail does. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought you were a monkey faunus.
Y(N): Exactly... My kind doesn't take kindly to those that call us "monkeys" or even "apes". And those that do call us those peculiar and offensive names...don't survive the encounter. Saiyans take a lot of pride in their tails, so being compared to a less powerful being such as a monkey, usually results in a bloody massacre.
