I came home and sat on the couch. I turned on our favorite show. I leaned back and crossed my legs, just like my boyfriend.

"Did you like that?" I asked as it ended. He didn't answer, though. He just went away. I got myself off the couch and turned off the TV.

I went to set up the dining table. I prepared our favorite meal, since I'm the main cook of this house. I sat at the table at my usual chair. I set my plate down and ate, the taste of the food warming my body.

"Was that good?" I asked as I finished. He didn't answer, though. He just went away. The food staled on my tongue.

I washed the plates and the silverware. Soap and water covered my hands. I was about to put my plate on the dishrack when it dropped, a clean break in the middle.

"Can you help me clean this up?" I asked. He didn't answer, though. He just went away. I cleaned the mess myself.

I went into our room and took a shower. The water was warm, just like my boyfriend's embrace. I took my time as I lathered in soap and the water. As I turned off the water, I went cold, just like I usually do now.

"Can you get me my towel?" I asked. He didn't answer, though. He just went away. I stepped out into the bitter cold of the world as I got the towel myself.

I put on the PJs that he loved the most. I slid into my side of the bed. I was cold all over. I tried to fall asleep, but I was plagued by memories.

"Can I cuddle with you?" I asked. I slid over to his side of the bed. It was colder than my body. Of course, he didn't answer, he never does anymore. He just went away. When will he come back?

"Never again..."

I woke up with a jolt, aching inside. The sun came into our room. Morning. I got up to repeat the days over again.
