Addalyn's P.O.V.
The knock at the door made me jump slightly, the nerves coursing through my veins like my first sip of alcohol. I slowly got up, grabbed my bag and walked to the door. As I hesitantly opened the door, I took a deep breath to prepare myself for tonight. "Hello, Beautiful." Lee smiled his signature smile.
Beautiful???
I must say, he does look adorable. Maybe its the tight gray long sleeve, maybe its the black skinny jeans, maybe its his messed up yet perfectly placed hair, maybe its the dimples that pop in his cheeks when he smiles.. Oh God, Addalyn, calm down, dry up the puddle in your pants and say something!
"Ummm, hi." I smiled and looked down finding my feet very interesting all of a sudden.
"You look amazing." He continued.
"Thanks. You look... comfy." Really, Addaly?! Comfy?!
He chuckled, "Thanks. Shall we?" He asked while holding out his hand for me to take.
"Sure." I smiled awkwardly and closed the door behind me and walking past him a little, ignoring the awkward hand holding to the elevator. I stopped a few feet away from him to show him i wanted him to follow me. He looked at me confused, then smiled, shook his head and followed after me.
We walked out of my apartment building and out to his car. He jogged a little to get in front of me and opened the passenger door for me. "Are you serious?" I asked amused, while sliding into the car.
"What? Don't act like you did't expect me to do this." He smirked at me and closed the door. He then hopped in to the drivers seat and began driving.
"So where are we going?" I asked, hoping he would just tell me already.
"It's still a surprise." He answered with a smile on his face.
"You're such a cheese ball, you know that?"
"The cheesiest." He smiled and glanced at me, then back at the road. I sat there and analyzed him for a bit. The tight shirt really shows off his muscles in his arms when he turns the steering wheel or grips the gear shift. And the way his hair is perfectly in place yet it looks like he just rolled out of bed. My eyes found their way to his face and I could see that his smile was reaching his eyes, making them squint a little. Right then I knew I've been caught.
I quickly looked away and i could feel the heat collect in my cheeks. "You know, You're cute when you blush." He said. The heat worsened and I couldn't help the smile slowly making it's way across my face. "And, you're smile is to die for." This time I turned away and looked out the window, hoping we would arrive at the mysterious place already.
"Are we almost there?" I ask, almost snappy.
"Patience is a virtue, Miss. Dawn."
"How do you know my last name?"
"We have English Literature together."
"What? I've never seen you in there before."
"That's because you sit in the very front and avoid everyone." He chuckled.
"Well, people make me anxious."
"What's wrong with people?"
"They're awful creatures. They say 'just be you,' then they judge you when you do."
"Why do you care what people think, anyway?"
"Why do you ask so many questions?"
"Fair enough."
