Unbreakable

Chapter 9

Phoenix arrived to Calum's house Tuesday morning. She was wearing a dark blue floral dress with brown combat boots and a beige cardigan. Her hair was curled and a little light make-up.

Calum looked outside his bedroom window and saw Phoenix getting out of her car. He rushed down stairs and burst out the front door to go and meet her.

"Hey, Dr. Collins," He greeted as he bent down to help her with her bags.

"Calum, just call me Phoenix, we are gonna be around each other for a long time. Just keep it casual." She giggled.

"Okay, Phoenix," He smirked.

Phoenix grabbed her other bags and followed him toward the house. Luke, Ash, and Michael were sitting on the couch when she entered the living room.

"Hey Phoenix," Luke greeted. She smiled at the boys as they greeted her. "So when do we leave?" She asked.

"About ten minutes, the bus should be here soon," Michael said. Not bothering to look up from his phone.

Phoenix nodded. Calum smiled at her. "So, you excited?" He asked.

"Ya, I've never been around the country before let alone the world!" She laughed.

"Well I'm glad I could take you." He smiled.

Soon, the loud honking of the tour bus signaled it was time to leave. The boys and Phoenix grabbed their belongings and headed out to the bus.

Calum stayed behind for a few moments. He looked around the house. Memories flooding his mind as he did.

"You okay?" Phoenix's voice came from behind him. He turned around and wiped the few stray tears from his eyes.

"Yeah, I'm-I'm fine." He stated.

"No your not," She walked into the house. "The last time you spoke to her, it was the day before tour," She walked towards him. "I know it hurts,"

Calum nodded, "It's hard, but I've decided I have to move on, I can't live like this. Sure, I'll still remember Callie, and everything we were together. But, she would want me to move on, eventually find someone else and live my dreams."

Phoenix nodded. "I've learned to do that as well. Soon enough, you'll find someone new, and you'll love them. But until then, don't forget her."

Calum smiled, "Lets go," He said while grabbing her hand and dragging her out the door. "We have to rock out with our socks out!" Phoenix stopped and have him a look.

"No one said we were normal," He winked. She laughed and boarded the tour bus with him.

The bus was huge. There were five bunk beds in the back, a kitchen, living area, and full working bathroom.

"Wow," She breathed. "This is big," Ashton laughed while she looked around with wide eyes. "Well there is five of us you know," Ashton said.

"I know how to count Irwin," She said.

Calum laughed. "A little sassy, aren't we?"

"That's something you should know, I'm not always all about feelings." She said.

"Alright, that's fine with me," Calum smirked.

Soon, they were on their way. It was later in the evening and they had decided to watch a movie. Calum sat down next to Phoenix on the couch. The other boys sat down on the floor or in chairs.

They had decided to watch Paranormal Activity. Phoenix wasn't very excited about the movie.

The movie began to get scarier, Phoenix was hiding underneath her blanket.

"You alright Nix?" Calum asked.

She popped he head out of the blanket. "I like that nickname, and no I'm freaking out!"

Calum smiled at her, "It's not real, you'll be fine." At that point, Phoenix jumped at the movie moving closer to Calum. At first, he was shocked. After a few seconds, he pulled her closer and put his arm around her.

"I'm right here, nothing is going to happen." He cooed in her ear.

She snuggled into Calum. During certain parts of the movie she would turn her head away and into his chest.

By the end of the movie, Phoenix was asleep. Calum picked her up and brought her to her bunk in the back of the bus.

She woke up, "What happened?" She asked groggily. "You fell asleep, now go back to bed."

"Okay, goodnight,"

He placed her in the bunk and pulled the blankets over her body. "Goodnight Nix," He whispered, before climbing into the bunk above hers.

So probably the longest chapter I've written!

I promise to starts writing more often!!!
