Draco Malfoy has two favorite places in the entire castle. The second floor girls bathroom on the Astronomy Tower.

They were so isolated and as a Malfoy, during true isolation is the only time you can let your emotions out. Many people believe he likes the room of requirement and will look for him there. They are wrong.

That room reminds him of his sixth year. When he was given this monstrosity to wear on his arm. When he helped Death Eaters into the castle at Voldemort's request. He tried to save Harry by sending him back to London and covering him up, he even gave him a broken nose in order to get him away. Draco didn't want Saint Potter getting hurt.

He overlooked the fields of the Hogwarts grounds from the astronomy tower. Sweet Merlin, I never really appreciated the beauty of this place.

Draco thought about what Pansy had said. He scoffed. Malfoy's don't fall in love. Especially not with people like Scarhead McGee. He stepped away from the rail and slumped against a wall.

"Stupid Potter," he mumbled while running his fingers through his hair. He felt a tear roll down his cheek.

HARRY'S POV
Ginny and Luna were flirting in the court yard. Harry was happy they finally got together. Neville was upset at first but started talking with a girl named Hannah Abbott. Ron and Hermione were happy together, Seamus and Dean. Harry was happy for all of them.

Everyone around him was happy, and that was great but Harry still felt lonely. Sure, he had friends, family, but he wanted to be with someone.

God, I sound so sappy! Harry thought. Then he thought of something else and instantly hated himself for feeling sad because of something so trivial. All the people that lost their lives to the war. Colin Creevey, died for Harry even though he always treated the younger boy like shit. Fred Weasley, Lupin, Tonks all died for him. And he's upset about something so small.

He left and you can guess where he went.

As Harry approached the Astronomy tower, he heard something in the distance. Could it be, crying? He got to the top step and saw white blond hair. The boy had extremely pale skin, you'd think he's dead. His face was the other direction and covered by his hands.

"Hello?" Harry whispered.

Draco quickly pulled himself together. A routine Draco became quite used to, "Merlin, Potter why are you here?" Draco demanded.

"Were you.. crying?" Harry asked.

"Don't be stupid, Potter! You- You probably heard a ghost or something!"

"Ghosts don't come up here, they can't," Harry only knew this because he had listened to Hermione explaining Hogwarts: A History for once.

"Damn you, can't mind your own business can you?"

"Well pardon me for thinking we could actually be friends." And maybe a bit more..

"Friends? Are you really that dense? Could you image, Harry Potter they boy who lived friends with.." Draco's arms dropped to his side and his voice shrunk, "the son of a death eater.."

"Malfoy, you aren't defined by who your father is.."

"BUT I AM, HARRY! YOU MAY BE TOO BLIND TO SEE IT, PEOPLE ARE DISGUSTED BY ME, PROFESSORS, STUDENTS," his voice broke, "Even other Slytherins hate me. Call me things.." He fell to the ground. "Why am I telling you this?"

Harry felt his face getting red. "Maybe I can help?" He walked over and crouched down next to the Slytherin. He put an arm around him.
"I don't need help, Potter. I need the pain to go away!" He said gesturing his arm. "There's no hope for me. Not after what I've done," he whispered tears streaming down his face. This broke Harry's heart.

Harry sat against the wall and held Draco. There they laid for the rest of the night.
