The next day at work, Kara had come in to open the store. She saw Holly's car pull up just then. She rolled her eyes, now preparing to fire her friend for betraying her like that. How could she sell that ring to him? How could Holly give him her address she was staying at? How dare she do all this. Kara sighed and walked into the just unlocked store and then unlocked the cabinets Holly came in shortly after her. "Morning Kara."
"Morning Holly." She said, not looking at her, loading the necklaces in the display cases.
Holly walked towards Kara, helping her bring out the necklaces out for display. "Everything ok? You sounded bad yesterday when you called in 'sick'."
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just was a little tired." She looked up at her finally and frowned.
"Gerald came over." She said, putting her hands on her hips.
Holly looked over at her surprised and guilty. "He did?" She was clearly faking it and hoped Kara wouldn't pick up on it.
Kara shock her head, "Don't try to act innocent with me, Holly. I know that you sold him the ring and I know that you gave him Rami's address." She stepped up closer to her.
Holly looked scared, as she wasn't sure if Kara was going to hit her or not. She sucked in a breath before speaking. "Okay, I did sell him the ring, but I didn't \know if I should have. That part is on me, but I promise you that I didn't gave him Rami's address. He took my phone I had near by and found it in our text messages." She gave her look of I'm telling the truth. Kara knew it was when she was being sincere.
She sighed, hating that Gerald did that to her and what an asshole he had become. She opened her arms up for a hug. Holly looked at her curiously and Kara keep holding out her arms. She then received the hug from Kara and stayed in the embrace for a while. "I'm sorry I doubted you, Holly."
Holly rubbed her back, "It's ok. I get it. I know this is all been hard on you. I should've sold him that ring. I thought he was gonna give it to Olivia, because he thinks he's in love with her. I didn't think he was going to try and get you back."
"It's ok. Let's move on from this and let me buy lunch today?" She asked letting go of the hug.
"Sounds nice."
