Flash's Little Sister

The Beginning - Chapter 1

Charlie wakes up confused as why there was a large noise downstairs. She runs to Barry's room to ask him what's happening. In his room the water in his fish tank was floating.

"Barry, What is happening?" She asks him confused.

Barry gets up out of bed and they both wander downstairs. 

Charlie's POV:

I see my mother on the ground being circled by some light. I look at Barry confused.

"Help!" I hear mom yell. By instinct I start towards mom but Barry grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"Charlie! NO!" Mom screams.

Dad rushes up behind us. I can hear mom sobbing and whimpering but Dad tears my eyes away from her.

"Run. Kids. Run!" He says. I turn around to run but somebody grabs me and I'm rushes away from the house. I look around confused and see Barry. I run over to him and hug him.

"What's going on?" I sob into him. He hugs me back but then lets go.

"I'm sorry Charlie but we have to go back." He says and start slowly jogging.

I rush after him and quietly sob. After awhile of running we are back at the house. I see sad being taken out by the cops.

I cry. "Where's daddy going? Dad!" I scream but nobody seems to notice.

Dad looks at me. "Don't go in the house!" He yells. Then he's pushed into the car. ""Don't go in the house. You hear me. Don't go in the house!"

I run up the steps after Barry as he walks in the house. "Barry, Daddy said not to come in the house." I say to Barry.

He ignores me and continues to walk into the house. I follow him and see mom on the floor laying completely still. She's not even blinking. Shes playing a good game of play dead.

"Mom!" I say running over to her. Barry rushes after me grabbing my arm.

We both slowly kneel down next to mom. "She's playing a good game of staying completely still. She's not even blinking." I say, my innocent mind thinking this is all a game.

Mr. West walks over and folds a tarp, paper thing over mom's head.

"Why are you covering mommy?" I ask him. Barry just hugs me and Mr. West explains she's not waking up.

I wake up from my nightmare crying and screaming. Barry rushes in.

"Charlie? What's happening? Are you okay?" Barry says rushing his words.

He sits on my bed and I hug him. Joe comes around the corner with his gun up. "Are you two okay?" He asks. Barry nods and I cry.

I let go of him and stand up wiping my eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm just-just gonna g-go for a walk." I stammer.

I rush out of the room and leave the house. I run down the road just crying. I accidently run into a man.

He knocked my tiny, frail body to the ground. "I'm s-sorry." I stutter, tears streaking down my face.

"Are you okay?" He asks. I nod and just ran away.

I didn't get any more sleep that night. I get ready for the day and head out with Joe to the CSI job on the case. I'm Barry's assistant. Mainly I organize his things but occasionally I'll help him.

It seems like he wasn't there so I stood and waited for him while Singh and Joe talk. Barry comes running into the scene and pants as he rushes up to Joe, Singh, and another man.
