Singto POV

I miss you, Phi... Even though we've only been apart for a few hours ...

Aw... My lover suddenly became very sweet... Do you want something?

I want you…

A wad of paper napkin struck my face downright, erasing the grin that had just risen from reading the sweet message from him.

A beautiful woman with long, light brown hair looked at me with a nosy smile.

"What makes you so happy, huh? A text from your lover?" she asked irritably, but she still laughed amusedly,

"Aw Phi ..."

"Pho... tell me a funny incident when you last met..." she replied,

"Alai wa?" I asked, though it seemed like I knew the story which she meant. She is most definitely talk about the things that occured in the middle of our dinner.

You're at your family's house right? How was the party?

"The incident at the restaurant... I knew there must be something wrong when he told me... You know what I mean, right?" she said while playing with her long hair,

"I do not know what you mean Phi..." I said, smiling amused, trying to avoid her eyes.

The party is fun. Kat will definitely like my present tomorrow. Thank you for helping me to find that grand piano, na ...

"Keep being innocent like that. But I know and you also know... Pho won't tell me if he feels it's not important!"

"Pho is just thinking too much, as usual!"

I want to meet you ... But it's late and you said you have an appointment with your sister tonight, right? Are you still with him, Phi? Am I disturbing you?

The sound of the tapering fingers tapping the surface of the table made me look up from my cellphone. I tried hard to hold a smile that threaten to appear on my face because I read the message from my sweet man.

"Singto... I know you are not easy to get close to other people... Phi also wondered why you took a career like this with your strange personality. Between us, it's you who inherited Pho difficult personality!" Phi Nam said, then she added,

"And we are surprised... Seeing your interaction with Krist. You never behave like that to someone, to your friends. Even the person you say is best friend.

I once saw you like that and that was Aya. How you devoted all your attention and time for her without expecting anything in return. And even then, you say it's over... "

"Krist... He is... special!" I replied simply,

I also want to meet... Can you sneak out of the house?

"I can see it, Singto..." she said, smiling understandingly,

"See what Phi?" I asked confused.

Are you really coming? My house is quite far from your apartment Phi ... And it's late ...

"You care about him ..." she said again in a low voice.

I combed my hair with my fingers, trying to find a way to escape the endless interrogation of P’Nam. If my father talks to P'Nam it means that my father is getting suspicious and feels that something is wrong.

And if P'Nam has already interrogated me, I rarely get away easily because this woman is very observant and detailed. I could never lie to her.

But to my surprise, she let me off the hook this time.

"Alright... Looks like you're not in the condition to talk seriously with me tonight. Maybe you're not ready to talk about this, I don't think I'm ready for this either. So I will let you off the hook this time.

But Singto... We're your family... You can stay away from everyone, but don't stay away from us na? Pho only has the two of us... You know that, right?" P'Nam said, taking my hand across the table,

"Don't use that to make me open my mouth..."

I will try to escape from my sister. I'll call you when I arrive...

"I will use whatever weapon I have if it is concerned with you Sing. Promise me!" she said again squeezing my hand slowly,

"I'll tell you when I'm ready, okey?! I really have to go now!” I said, pulling my hand free from her grasp.

She looked at me with frustration on her face but then she sighed and when she looked at me, I knew she had given up. I saw P'Nam glancing at my cellphone on the table, next to my coffee cup.

"Okey... Go see him or her... Whoever it is that made your body here but your mind flew away!"

I thanked her, hugged her tightly and kissed her cheek before walking away. I left the restaurant where we had just finished dinner, stopped the first taxi that passed me and directed the driver to take me to Krist's family home.

Forward

Krist POV

I know, he asked me to wait inside the house until he called me and said that he had arrived. But I can't stand to stay in my room longer.

So I grabbed my old sport jacket in the closet and put it on, not forgetting to put my cellphone and wallet in the pocket of the shorts I was wearing and slip out of the house.

The house was quiet when I went out, most of the lights in the house had been turned off except for P'King and Kat's room lights. P'King must have been doing his office work in the room, while Kat might have been unpacking the gifts she hadn't had time to open during the party.

I decided to wait for P'Sing's arrival in front of the house, standing under the streetlight with a hoodie covering my head. Shortly afterwards I saw a taxi slow down and finally stopped right in front of me.

A handsome tan man came out of the taxi with a happy face. His smile managed to make me dizzy.

"Have you been waiting for long? Why wait outside?" he asked as he walked toward me,

"I'm looking forward to meet you... I just came out! You're so fast..." I said,

"It's a relief that P'Nam and I met near here... Otherwise I would have made you wait longer!"

"Want to go strolling? There is a 24-hour convenience store nearby... I craving for instant noodles!" I said with a smile,

"You and your unhealthy food..." he said laughing, "Come on! At least it will make you warm!"

P’Sing and me, we walked side by side in a comfortable silence. I could not help the smile rising on my lips, feeling the backs of our hands touch as we walked.

We may not be able to do anything as simple as walking while holding hands in public, but it is enough for me to know our hearts are connected to each other.
