sophia couldn't stop screaming. she was in so much pain. sobs eruppted from her throat as she tried holding onto mike, who was trying desprately to make sure she was alright as he looked back and forth from her to her leg. "it hurts. it hurts, it hurts, it hurts!" she wailed, tears slipping down her now red face as the creature moved around inside her leg. "what is that?" erica asked, clearly grossed out but also extremely worried. "there's something in there!" mike exclaimed as sophia screamed again, grabbing onto his hand and tightening her grip as she cried more. "no!" she screamed weakly, her head thrown back in pain. "jesus christ," dustin mumbled as jonathan stood up. "keep her talking! keep her awake, okay?" he nodded at max, only for sophia to scream no again. her entire leg hurt. she just wanted to saw it off and never have a leg again, it hurt so much. mike tried to soothe her as best as he could, but she kept screaming and crying. he shjook her slightly. "hey, hey, hey. stay awake, stay awake, love. come on, let's get her on this side, get her on this side." they all lifted her a bit, moving her to lay down. "easy, easy, easy." mike exclaimed. the female was fragile: one fall and she'd break. robin tried to keep things going while still panicking. "it's uh- you know, it's-- it's not actually that bad. there was a.." she tried lifting her legs a bit so she could help prop her up agains the glass window. "the goalie on my soccer team, beth wildfire--" everyone was now staring at robin, who was still babbling. "this other girl slid into her leg, and, like, the whole bone came out of her knee- six inches or something, it was insane." "robin." steve finally sated. "yeah?" "you're noot helping." "i'm sorry." all of a sudden, jonathan slid back into action as he held a heated knife and had some gloves on his hands. "okay. all right, soph?" the female looked up at him, still crying. "this is going to hurt like hell, okay?" he tried to soothe her, causing her to nod. "o-o-okay," she sobbed, now propped up against the window as mike held onto her. "need you to stay real still," jonathan kept going as he removed the wrap from her leg. he then handed mike a wooden spoon. "hey, you're gonna wanna bite down on this, okay?" he said to sophia as she nodded, still crying as mike then put the spoon in her mouth, allowing her to bite down. "jesus christ," dustin said for the third time, still completely overwhelmed and grossed out by this situation. sophia felt heat radiating onto the wound as everyone looked at jonathan, who was holding the knife to her leg. "holy shit, holy." dustin muttered before mike looked at jonathan, nodding. "do it." he said as he held onto his girlfriend tightly. jonathan nodded before slicing into the wound, a sizzling noise coming from the wound as sophia started to scream again, her voice a lot more muffled with the wooden spoon in her teeth. puss and blood came out of the wound as everyone made some kind of sound of disgust, from gagging to just looks of it. jonathan put the knife down, his hand hovering over her leg as he cringed and gagged. he had barely put two fingers inside of her leg and everyone groaned and howled in disgust as the female screeched out in pain. tears fell from her blue eyes as she sobbed, the pain getting worst and worst as jonathan dug his hand inside her leg. "jonathan!" nancy yelled, but jonathan dissed her. "stop talking!" he hollered before started to chase after the thing inside her leg, unable to catch it. "dammit!" he hissed. sophia was wailing and crying, and she couldn't take it anymore. "no! stop it!" she screamed out. mike had slapped his arm lightly, trying to make him stop. "stop, stop!" he looked up at the both of them, watching the female sit up and rest her head against mike's chest as her cries were now inaudible. "i-it hurts too much. no more, no more." she cried softly. the creature had only stopped for a moment before eleven stood up. "i'll do it." she said. sophia looked up at her, shaking her head as she continued to cry, her chest now hurting. "no, no, no more el. i can't. it hurts." she wailed. eleven kneeled down in front of her, putting both hands on her shoulders. "it's okay. trust me." the female sniffled before hesitantly nodding at her, holding onto mike tight as eleven stood up again and put her hand out. sophia felt the pain again, and she threw her head back as sobs escaped her throat. "god! god!" she screamed out. eleven couldn't get the monster out of her body. she started to grunt, trying desprately to do so until she started to scream along with sophia. all of a sudden, the glass behind them shatters, causing everyone except sophia and eleven to jump. when eleven got the creature out, sophia collapsed into mike's arms while elevem continued to scream until she threw the thing to the other side. all of the kids watched it run away for a split five seconds before watching it get squashed. sophia was only half consious as she realized who was here; hopper, joyce, some man, and her mother.
