Chapter 23

When Betty woke up a few hours later, she was alone on the couch and a blanket had been thrown over her. She sat up, and sleepily rubbed her eyes, spotting her four friends sat on her kitchen table. She stood up and walked over to them. "Hey betts" they all grinned when they saw her, Betty just smiled and sat down on jugheads lap. "Hi baby" he said, softly, kissing her head. "Hi" she mumbled. "You okay?" He asked and she nodded. "Now that Betty's awake, what shall we have for dinner?" Sweetpea asked. "Wait a second sweets, what if Betty doesn't want us to stay for dinner" Toni said. "No, you can stay" Betty smiled. "You can all sleep over tonight if you want? The walk to school tomorrow?" She suggested and they all nodded. "Sounds good" fangs nodded. "Let's get pizza!" Sweetpea cheered and pulled out his phone.

After many movies and pizzas later, the five of them were ready for bed. "Can I borrow some makeup remover B?" Toni asked. "Of course! Come with me" Betty smiled and lead Toni up to her room. "Here you go" Betty Said, handing over the makeup remover. "Oh! And you can have some of my pyjamas" Betty said. "Thank you" Toni grinned, taking the grey pyjamas that Betty handed over. "There the only ones that aren't pink" Betty giggled. Just then there was a knock on the door and the boys stood there. "What rooms shall we take?" Fangs asked. "Follow me" Betty said. "Toni, you can take this one" Betty said, opening the door to pollys old room. Betty turned around and saw the other four looking at her with sad expressions. "Don't worry it's fine, I... i got rid of everything it's all in the attic" she explained. "And fangs you can have this one" she smiled, going into another room. "And sweets there's another room across the hall" she smiled. "Thanks Betty" they said. "Goodnight Guys" Betty smiled, before taking jugheads hand as they made their way into Betty's room. "I just need to change into my pyjamas" Betty said, shuffling nervously on her feet. Jughead smiled and walked over to her, kissing her softly. "You can Change in front of me baby, I won't look if you don't want me to" he said, wanting her to be comfortable. "What if I want you to look?" She whispered. "I have no problem with that" he said. "I... I just.." she stuttered. "Hey betts, you can tell me anything" he told her, holding her hands. "I... I'm just not ready for..." she started but cut herself off. "For what baby?" He asked. "Sex" she blurted out and then blushed. "That's okay betts" he smiled. "I won't ever do anything that you aren't comfortable with" he said and she nodded. "I know that, it's just I want to do other things with you, you know? Like I want to change in front of you and all of that I just..." she said but jughead cut her off with a kiss. "I understand" he smiled. "I love you" he said. "I love you too" she smiled, pecking his lips again. "Now come on, let's get changed and go to sleep" he said.

The next morning, jughead woke up and noticed he was alone in the bed, sitting up, he looked around for Betty and noticed the bathroom door open and she walked out. "Good morning juggie" she smiled, getting back into bed. "Morning baby" he said, kissing her. "We need to get up, we have school" he reminded her, when they pulled away from the kiss. "About that..." she started. "I don't want to go..." she said, looking down. "Why betts?" He asks, lifting her chin up to look at him. "After yesterday, I really don't want to have to go and face that" she sighed. "I'll be with you the whole day" he assured her. "I know... but I really don't want to go, I need some time to myself... I just don't feel up to it" she admitted. Jughead knew how hard it was for her to admit how she was feeling so he didn't push her any further. "Okay honey" he smiled. "Do you want me to stay with you?" He asked. "No juggie, go to school I'll be okay" she said, snuggling into his chest. "Okay" he agreed. "But call me if you need anything?" He said and she nodded.
