Here we are

Chapter 10

Olivias POV

Why does my life have to be like this? I can't have one nice day. Just one. Is that too much to ask for.

After Mark and Sara had interrupted our movie night, I didn't bother wasting my breath on them. I grabbed my phone and stormed out of there. Ryan seemed really confused and blew up my phone with texts after I left. I just replied saying that I would explain everything tomorrow.

That's what I'm doing now. I'm with Ryan in his backyard, sitting on the grass, talking.

While I was telling him what Mark had done, his fists were clenched the whole time. I could tell he was mad. After I told him everything he said "Man, What the hell is wrong with him. I'm so sorry he did that"

I replied by saying "I honestly don't know and you don't have to be sorry it's not your fault"

He gave me a sympathetic smile and got up. He wiped of the dirt off his pants and put his hand out so that he can help me up.

"Umm no thank you. Your hand was just all over your butt, I don't wanna touch it" I said while getting up. He starting pouting and a devilish smirk creeped its way up to my face.

While I was wiping the dirt off my pants, it was hard for me to reach my butt. Ugh why do I have to have such short arms?

Ryan noticed me struggling and said "I can help you with that" with a smirk on his face.

"Eww, keep your hand to yourself, Evans"

That made him laugh. Oh, let me tell you his smile is freaking gorgeous!

We stood there awkwardly for a moment then went inside.

"Wanna finish that movie" he asked referring to Hobbs and Shaw.

I instantly nodded my head and smiled. When I remembered why we didn't finish it, the smile was wiped of face. Ryan noticed and told me "look, Mark is a jerk and a player, try not to think about him. He's not worth it"

Confused by his remark I asked "isn't he your friend, you guys seem really close?"

"No no no. You got it wrong. We're actually step brothers" he replied with a cute smile on his face but it faded at the mention of his step brother.

Wow. I was not expecting that. At all.

He saw my confused and surprised expression and explained.

"My dad got drunk and crashed his car, killing him when I was just 5. My mom found Mark's dad who had gotten a divorce with his wife a few years back."

When he saw that I was quiet he went on.

"We've been step brothers for 3 years. He's a pain in the butt. He got kicked out of his last school because he got into a fight with one of the teachers who despised him".

Oh my god. That's...news.

When he noticed my shocked expression,he said "yeah.. I know"

"Sometimes he's selfish, actually, a lot of times. He doesn't realize it but when he does he'll apologize. Look, he's a good person he just went through some things as a child and it definitely had an affect on him, so just try not to think about it too much. Ok?" Ryan said in a soft tone.

Taking everything in, I said "Ok, I'll try"

"Mark is a nice guy and once I saw him I knew he would be a good friend so I'll give him a second chance" I said with a smile.

"Thanks, Olivia. I know he'll be really happy to hear that"

After our talk, we finished watching the movie and let me tell you, there isn't a movie with the Rock in it that sucked. The movie was amazing!

After we watched the movie, I walked back home and finished off some homework. While I was doing it, I drifted off to sleep.

Sorry for the short chapter but I hoped you enjoyed it. I wanted to keep it short and just have a chapter with Olivia and Ryan and have them get to know each it her and maybe I'll make a chapter with Ryan's POV.
