(Katie above!!)

"What!!!" I yelled out of surprised. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

My dad sighed and scratched his head. Immediately, I wanted to say that back. Dad has issues and shouldn't have any more problems to deal with. he deserved Better. With all the financial problems and the deal with mom... He changed.

"I'm sorry cupcake, but we have to. It's the best solution. Besides, it will only be a few months, maybe a year," I took in a breath. A year?? That's too long. but I decided to stay quit. "and, I heard that they have a boy your age!" I sighed.

Even if they have I cute boy, I still feel bad. It just feels wrong to move in with another family. But it was the only choice.

"Fine. when are we going?" I got up from the hotels couch, stretching. dad got up and yawned.

"Now, I suppose." I looked at him with big eyes.

"Now! It's 10:34 p.m.!!" I proclaimed.

"I don't want to stay at a hotel tonight. I rather go to there house tonight. I don't want to waist money like that." I grumbled and sighed a big sigh.

"Fine."
-------------------------
The car ride was a long way from the hotel. I'm surprised that I didn't fall asleep. I looked outside from the passenger seat and thought about my life. I hope they like me...

Dad came up On a curve and I saw the house I was staying at. it was a homey home yet big. the house was dark blue with black trims. there were oak trees everywhere in the front yard and small bushes in front of the house.

I felt a chill down my spine, thinking that this place is where I'm staying.

Dad parked right in front of the garage. dad and I got out into the chilly, December air. the air here was crisp and fresh. I smiled to myself. dad got our luggage from the trunk, which was a small bag. after the tornadoe, we barely had any stuff at all.

We went to the front door and stopped. dad looked at me with his sad puppy-like eyes that burrowed me.

"Are you sure it's okay with you?" Dad asked me. I nodded, even though i wasn't happy.

Dad then rang the door bell and I suddenly heard footsteps. the door opened and I saw a beautiful women standing in front of me. she seemed kind and nice, since she was smiling big. she had brown hair and put it in a bun. she had an apron on and looked like she was cooking, even though it was 11:00. She had no wrinkles and had a small nose. she had rosy cheeks and bright blue eyes.

"Why, you must be the keys!!" I forced a smile and dad laughed.

"Yes, yes we are." he smiled and she clapped her hands. then there was a man standing over the women. he looked attractive from a lady's point of view and smiled, walking towards my father.

They hugged and shakes hands. they had a mini talk and then he glanced at me.

"You must be mrs Katie!! I heard a lot about you!! Man you've grown!! The last time I saw you, you were still growing baby teeth!!" He held out his hand and I shook. I blushed and smiled.

"It's nice to be here mr Hughes"

"Oh don't call that!! " He said, " just call brad."

"Uh, okay, brad." he laughed and showed my father inside. when they went, mrs Hughes grabbed my arm and wrapped around her arm with mine.

"My name is Susan. I'm so glad to have a girl around the house. I only have boys." she patted my arm and laughed. "we're going to have so much fun!!" I laughed with her and we enter the house. It was beautiful! I gasp by the sight. the walls were warm brown and had a nice minty smell. there was a staircase right in front of the door. the floor was wood and it felt great. to the left, there was a living room with couches and a fireplace with a fire in it.

Then there was a dining room with the kitchen next to it. I could've fainted with all this. back at home, we only had a living room, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms.

Susan showed me to the kitchen and I saw a boy sitting at the kitchen island.he had short brown hair and was built like an athlete. I could say he was a good 6' ft. I took a closer look and realized that this year is going to be different. the boy in front of me was the one guy I ever had a crush on. Zach Hughes.
