When you went back to school the next week Iri would not shut up about Issac. They had apparently spent the whole weekend together but are still not a couple as Iri repeatedly reminds you.
"Why don't you just ask him out" you suggest.
"No... I can't do that... wait...no"
"Why not? You keep reminding me your not a couple but it sounds like you want to be so just go ask him"
"Fine...maybe...we'll see"
"You better do it Iri"
The bell for the end of the day rang and you excitedly ran outside as you had arranged to meet with Derek and go to a local diner. Your first date with him and you couldn't wait to actually be there.
As you made your way outside you saw Derek standing next to his motorcycle and that made you even more excited.
"Hey (y/n) you ready?"
"Never been more ready in my life"
Derek passed you a helmet and off you went towards the diner.

When you got to the diner you both ordered milkshakes and sat and talked. Derek explained more about what having a mate meant and you honestly felt kind of weird about it but one thing was for sure you were glad it was Derek who was your mate.
You left the diner after spending a good two hours there just laughing and enjoying each other's company and made your way back to Derek's loft. When you entered Derek went over to a speaker and put on some music. It was (insert your fav slow song) that came on.
"(Y/N) would you do the honour of dancing with me"
"Why of course"
You both danced till the end of the song and just stood looking into each other's eyes for a minute until Derek broke the silence.
"I know it's quite soon (y/n) but I just wanted to let you know I love you"
"I love you too Derek"
He put his hands on your checks and kissed you like you were the last person on Earth. It was the most magical feeling you'd ever felt and you'd never been so certain of how you felt about someone in your life.
