Hope woke up with a start, her head was aching with a dull pain, like she had been dropped. She blinked, her eyes trying to get used to the darkness. Where was she. She pushed herself up, turning around in a circle, before spotting Clarke. Right, they were in Malivore.

She walks over to Clarke, leaning over him as he lays unconscious. She twists her head to the side before kicking him in his stomach. "Come on get up."

Clarke groans in pain, his eyes blinking rapidly before focusing on her. "Did you really have to kick me?"

"Yes, now get up," Hope says reaching her arm out to him.

He scowls at her, looking between her face and her hand. He pushes himself up off of the ground, pushing her arm out of the way in the process.

"Fine be like that."

Clarke huffs out a breath and rolls her eyes. He takes a few steps forward before he stops and turns around, looking at her. His eyebrow shoots up in a questioning look, "well aren't you going to follow me?"

Hope looks at him for a couple of seconds before walking towards him. "Where exactly are we walking to? Nothing is here it's just darkness."

He just looks at her, smirk forming on his lips, before turning back around and walking away. Hope scowls before jogging up to match his steps. She had to walk slightly faster because of how tall he was.

Stupid Clarke, where is he taking me.

To her it felt like they were walking forever, but she knew it couldn't have been more than a couple of hours. Her feet began to hurt and she walked slower, dragging her feet behind him.

He stops and sighs turning around. His eyes connect with hers, shining with obvious annoyance. "Come on Hope, are you really getting tired by a little walking?"

She frowns at him, groaning. "Yes i'm tired we've been walking for like three hours."

"We haven't been walking 3 hours stop being dramatic."

She looks at him and growls. He puts his hands up mockingly, a smirk forming on his face. He turns around and they both start walking again. "It's not my fault that little wolf's feet hurt," Clarke says.

Hope freezes. Little wolf. She closes her eyes, remembering how her mother used to roll her eyes whenever her dad would call her that. She takes a deep breath and opens her eyes. Finding Clarke's questioning ones staring at her. He looked at her like he was staring into her soul.

"What now?"

She just shook her head, walking ahead of him. She wipes her unshed tears with her hands. "Nothing, lets go."

She feels his eyes on her back before he walks towards her, pace matching with hers. As they walk in silence, she feels the ache in her heart.

She wonders if they would be proud of her.
