They were still walking by the time Clarke finally said something. He had to clear his throat, they hadn't spoken in so long. His voice sounded crackly as he said. "I think we're about here."
Hope sighs and scrunches up her face. "About where Clarke?" At that moment everything around her started to slowly disappear, replaced by a blinding light.
Hope looked down, hand covering her eyes. "Where the hell are we?"
"Maybe open your eyes and you'll see."
Hope let out a tsk. So far he was still a dick. Good to know. Out of all the people she would've liked to be stuck in a mud hole with, Clarke definitely isn't one.
She missed Landon. The sweet, loving, but also antisocial Landon. They were exes now, she guessed. Because you can't date someone you don't even know exists. So now, she's stuck with her ex-boyfriend's, mud baby sculpture brother. How fun.
Hope opened her eyes to see a beautiful scenery. The sun was shining bright in the sky, almost like it was twinkling. The green grass had speckles of flowers all within, and bees landing in them to get their sweet, sweet nectar.
"Clarke where are we?" She asked with a breathy voice.
"Well... to be completely honest I have no clue. I found this place the last time I was in here."
"Why is it here? I thought it was supposed to be complete darkness," Hope questioned.
"It is. I guess good old dad put this in here for someone that went crazy in the dark."
Whatever the reason for it, Hope appreciated the small piece of faith that this pit had. She walked forward, running her hands across the leaves. "Hey Clarke do you think I can do magic here?"
He just looks at me a shrugs, "You can try it."
Hope lifts her hand and says the spell under her breath. A small rose slowly falls down and lands right into Clarke's hand. The edges of his mouth go up a little before turning into an arrogant smirk.
"Sorry i'm more of a sunflower kind of guy."
Hope smiles right back at him and snaps her finger. She keeps her eye on him for a couple of seconds before he starts talking, "Hope whatever you just did obviously didn't work - AHHH WHAT THE HELL!"
Hope let's out a laugh and puts her hands on her knees. She laughs for a good minute before pulling herself back together and wiping the tears from her eyes. Her eyes meet with his and he full on flares at her. She had put a spell on the flower to stab whoever was in contact with it; and that just so happened to be Clarke.
"I hate you," is all he says to me.
Hope smiles a little bit before turning away so he doesn't see, "don't worry the feeling is most definitely mutual."
"Blah blah blah the feelings mutual."
"Do you want me make something else stab you? Maybe you'd like an actual knife instead," she throws at him over her shoulder.
He simply grumbles at her.
Hope lets the little smile come on her face this time. God he was a pain in the ass, but he was still fun to mess with. And it is better than suffering in the darkness without him. So for him, she was thankful for, even if she did majorly dislike him.
