I had got to the bottom of the stairs && jahseh followed behind me... I didn't really wanna go home
"Want me to walk you home?", jahseh asked
"Nahh you don't have to I can cross the street jahseh", I said for the last time
"Okay.... but text me when you get home", he said
"Okayyyy", I replied && left out the house
-30 minutes later
I was currently in my room... I heard 4 knocks on my door "COME IN", I yelled knowing it was my father bc my mother knocks softly
"Hey laina, I decided to stop off at your favorite food place Wendy's and got you some things", my dad said handing me a bag
"Oh... thank you dad!", I said excitedly
"No problem and oh what I was going to tell you is that last night when we had dinner you said you knew Cleo's son for a while right?", he asked
"Yea........ since elementary.", I answered
"Is he the type to get you caught up in some mess && get you hurt???", he asked
"No Dad!!!!, he's a close friend it's not like he a gang banger or he sell drugs or some shi- stuffff", I replied almost cussing
"Oh okay I just wanted to make sure because I seen how you guys were looking at each other an-", he said as I cut him off
"DAD! I can look at anyone just like how you can! Don't worry about me I'll be FINE. I'm 18 I know how to manage myself nor am I a baby anymore for the last time he just a FRIEND nothing more to it.", I stated
"Okay I guess i am a little too much on you", he replied
"Yea...", I said
"Anyways your mom will be back within a hour", he responded
"Okay", I replied as he exited my room .&& closed my door
Ugh I hate how he's overprotective it's annoying... I laid back && had got a text message from jahseh, I opened my phone && checked
