Jade's POV
I got into the car with my father and the rest of the people I had never met in my life, usually right now you would call the police but it is different for me.
"so how long have you lived in L.A?" I asked trying not to be awkward.
"15 years." Elton replied
I nodded and looked back out the window. we pulled up to a house it was actually pretty big We walked inside and Sam showed me my room I put the bag down on the bed and went down stairs.
"so Jade, what grade are you in?" Elton asked
"I'm in 9th grade." I said
"that's cool." he said
"not really, girls are mean and I'm pretty sure most of the guys smell like hair gel." I said
Elton laughed.
"why are the girls mean?" he asked
"no reason." I said looking away.
"there has to be some reason." he said.
"well I had to help out my mom with the bills while all of the are just entitled little rich girls." I said
Elton looked down at his feet.
"it's okay though I'm closer with my mother than any of them will ever be because of that reason and I am glad it happened." I said
Elton looked a little happier
"CRAP!" We heard from the other room.
we went to go check it out and Sam was laughing at Corey and Colby.
"what's going on?" Elton asked
"I keep beating them in rocket league." Sam said placing the controller down.
I eyed the controller and smirked my hidden I had two hidden talents one I can put a hat in my mouth and flip it up on to my head and two I am REALLY good at video games.
"can I try?" I asked
"sure do you know how to play?" Jake asked.
"no but I can figure it out." I said
I sat down picked up a controller and whopped all of their asses in Rocket league.
"she beat my high score." Sam said emotionless
"I thought you've never played before." Colby said
"I haven't." I said
"one second guys my phones ringing." Sam said
"ya sure, okay see you soon." Sam said
"hey guys Kat's coming over in like 5 minutes." Sam said
"who's Kat?" I asked
"Kat's his girlfriend." Corey said
"oohh." I said
I looked at the clock and it was like 2:00.
" so what do you guys do?" I asked
they kind of just stared at me confused
"what?" I asked
"I thought you knew." Elton said
"to be honest I didn't eve know your name until last night." I said
"wow then this is all happening really fast for you." Colby said
"ya." I answered
"well we're youtubers." Corey Said
"really that's like Awesome!" I said
Corey laughed.
"hey thanks for letting me stay with you for a couple weeks it mean a lot to me and my mom." I said looking to Elton.
"no problem kiddo and feel free to come by anytime even after you go home." He said
"thanks." I replied smiling
the front door opened and this pretty girl with blue hair came in the room.
"wow." She said looking at me.
"oh yeah I forgot to tell you, this is Elton's daughter Jade." Sam said
"Elton has a kid?!" the girl said
"yup." Elton said
"well I'm Kat." She said
"I'm Jade." I said back
"how long has Elton had a kid?" she asked
"15 years." I said
"wow." she said still in shock
"I know right?" Elton said
"hey just humor me......what's your full name?" Elton asked
"Jaden Drew Freeman, why?" I asked
"my name is Elton Drew Castee." she said
"I was right!" I exclaimed
"huh?" Colby asked
"well when I was little I told my mother that Drew was a boys name I now know it's a gender natural name but I was named after a guy." I said
Elton laughed.
"I was a vey opinionated little kid." I said
"most are." Sam said
"I was on a whole new level, I had a whole debate with my mother once because I said that pizza goldfish were better than pretzel goldish I had like 5 reasons and that night she baught me a huge bag of pizza goldfish." I said
Elton giggled.
"So, what do you do for fun Jade?" Colby asked
"well I like scary stuff but I have this really weird thing when I start laughing when I gat scared or nervous so I usually look like I'm possessed or something." I said
"Okay there is seriously no denying this is your kid Elton." Colby said placing a hand on my head.
Elton stared at me wide eyed.
"Oh shoot, I need to call my mom she told me to call her when we got here so I'll be right back." I said
"oh, ya she's probably freaking out right now." Elton said
I walked up the stairs to my room and dialed my moms number.
"oh my gosh I was so worried about you." my mom said sounding like she had been crying.
"I am so sorry we were just having fun and I kind of forgot." I said really sorry.
"it's okay." she said
"so you like your dad?" she asked
"ya his friends are cool too there house is awesome!" I said
"that's so great well I'll talk to you soon." My mom said
"wait, mom when am I coming home?" I asked
"two weeks at most I just got a new job today it pays okay but I still want you to stay for a little bit just in case." she said
"okay." I said through the phone.
I heard a click on the other line and then put my phone down. Why had she been quiet everything was working out great... maybe she had just been worried about me.
I walked down the stairs and Elton smiled then walked into the living room.
"is everything okay?" Elton asked seeing the perplexed look on my face.
"I'm okay my mom just sounded sad I'm pretty sure she was just worried when I didn't call." I said he nodded and we all decided to watch a movie.
