I share with you a story about a girl named Sam
Who walked the world like she didn't give a damn
She kissed all the boys and danced with the girls
Thought she knew how to live, she had her own world
One day she realized she was merely existing
Partying all night, sober resisting
She'd snort lines up her nose
Pop some pills with her bros
But she'd cry in the shower
Almost wanting that overdose
She was always the mistress, she swore it was a curse
The other woman was her, and it couldn't be worse
Everyone wanted her as a fuck, but not one to love
So she'd fuck around searching and look up above
For God never answered so she'd talk to the clouds
And the clouds never answered so she spoke to the ground
Accepting this evil was not who she was
But who she became from lacking real love
All the sex and drugs turned into a storm
With the thunder and lighting, a dark cloud took its form
Even though the sky and the heavens were blue
She couldn't see past the demon in her view
Was Sam a girl who truly lived?
She never gave chances and she'd never forgive
She was angry and hurt and sad in her mind
She forgot about goodness, she forgot about kind
You don't ever want to be the Girl named Sam
Fuck those who are worthy, give more of a damn
Stop with the pills, stop living a lie
For on the outside you'll be living but on the inside, you'll die.
