Chapter 19 - You're Not Alone

Rydel's POV

I sat in a chair by baby Madison's crib in the ICU.

Ell sat beside me holding Thomas.

I had Nick and Alex close to me.

We all sat and looked sadly at our little girl.

Alex got up and went to the other side of the crib.

"Madison, you have to get better. We love you so much. I need my baby sister to be ok. I always wanted one and now I have one. You have to be ok. You're going to be ok," He said to her.

Nick got up and stood beside him.

"Yeah and we have to protect you from all the boys. We know you're going to be very pretty and will have to pry them off of you," he said smirking.

I couldn't help but giggle and look at Ell.

"Mad-son me need play with you!" Thomas squealed.

I smiled at my family and tried to hold back my tears.

I laid my head on Ell's shoulder and a couple tears roll down my face.

"She needs to get better Ell," I whimpered.

"I know Delly," he whispered sadly back.

Stephanie's POV

"Ross what have you been up to?" I asked Ross as we sat in my office for a therapy session.

"Well Ellie started pre-school and dance classes. Rebecca went back to dance classes," he began to tell me.

"No Ross stop. Tell me what you've been up to. You know, like what you been doing on your free time? What's up?" I specified.

"I don't really know to be honest. My life pretty much revolves around my kids. The only person I did stuff for fun with was Peyton." He shrugged.

I frowned and recorded down some notes.

"So you haven't done anything for you that makes you happy? Other then tending to your kids and other family of course," I asked.

He made a face like he was thinking and then he looked at me uneasily.

"I kind of have been writing songs lately."

"Really? About what?" I asked.

"Oh-uh-I'm-just well really what has been on my mind for the past couple months," he said looking at his hands blushing.

I wrote in my notes and couldn't help but smile.

"That sounds awesome! What's the status on R5 starting up again?" I asked smirking.

"Oh well we're definitely going to try to do it! We're just waiting for the right time to start up again. Considering Rocky and Sarah just had Raelyn and poor baby Madison is in the ICU," he said frowning.

I sighed and frowned.

"Nobody should ever have to lose (A/N SHOUTOUT TO MY MOM KAELYN FOR TOTALLY CALLING ME OUT FOR BEING A DIPSHIT AND HITTING TO MANY Os EVERYTIME) their baby," I whispered.

"I know," he said frowning at me.

"But on a happier note, you totally have to get out more! I will personally take you out to a public place with NO kids just so you're social again," I said teasing him a little.

"How about tonight then?" He said smirking.

"I would but I have to hang out with an old friend tonight due to orders by my friend," I said rolling my eyes.
