Chapter Three: Quinndom

Monroe High School was rich. Actually rich was an understatement. But for generic and unfulfilling words, it was rich. Why? Because everyone there was rich. It was a school for the wealthy. Everyone at the school had a high profile occupation, From doctor to actor. In Quinn's case, her dad was one of the world's most famous inventors at the moment. Traveling around the world and giving speeches to third world kids or pompous and snobby adults. He even spoke at the United Nations once.

Quinn under such an amazing personality had to act her part too. In the Institute her role was Public Relations in specific connection to secondary education. She also handled donations. Under Kiddy's supervision though.

"Yo, did you finish putting the donations in the spreadsheet?"

Quinn parked her then picked up her phone. She grabbed her bag and got out of her car, when she put her phone to her ear again Kiddy asked the same question.

"Almost. I just have to do the—"

"That's great but the Burr family just called and said they donated in July but didn't get an invite to the luncheon." He said.

Quinn rolled her eyes. The problem with Kiddy is that he didn't know how to let people finish their sentence. He cut Quinn off all the time even though he asked for answer her. He was pretty arrogant as well. He bossed Quinn around like she was under him, though she wasn't. She only started helping him because he was slow to putting in names and numbers. Then he ony asked for help when he didn't want to do the work, other times he would rant on you for trying to help.

"That's not on the record sheet though," Quinn said trying mask her annoyance. "Everyone that donate in July donate on one day. At the summer festival. The list was ma—"

"I get that Einstein, but they donated after the festival. And it was still in July!" Kiddy snapped.

"I can't give them an invite without my dad knowing," I told him as I passed a group of cheerleaders. They shook their glittery blue pompom trying to raise school spirit. One did it directly in Quinn ear cutting off what Kiddy said.

"What?" I asked.

"Ugh, I said—"

"Go Mustangs go!" The cheerleaders yelled in my ears.

Quinn hurried inside trying not to miss what Kiddy had to said.

"I'm sorry Kiddy could you—" Quinn started but Kiddy instantly interjected himself.

"Just ask your dad to sign another invitation or I'll end your career in the institute myself!" He screamed. "By the end of the week!"

With that Kiddy hung up the phone with Quinn's head pounding. She glared at her phone whispering curse towards Kiddy. God, she hated that dude so much. If he were choking Quinn would actually hesitate to save him.

Taking a deep breath and pushing passed her headache she walked down the halls to her Calculus BC class. As she walked she checked all the donations in July. Kiddy was right, they did donate, and a large sum at that but the invitation were for those who donated at the festival. The proceeds went Bright Mind orphanage and was used as scholarships for some of the kids.

Quinn sighed and entered her Calculus BC sitting nearest to the door. Ada came in and sat down next to her.

"Sup, Quinnie." She greeted happily. She flashed her bright smile then turned to open her textbook.

Ada had short golden hair and freckles all over her face. Her eyes were a pretty green that had every bit of joy in them, like she was happy to be there.
