"Alright ladies, lets take five and jump right back into it." I said as we finished our new stunt for this Friday's game.
"Hey Alex?" The new girl Melanie asked, coming up to me.
"Whats up?"
"I won't be able to make it to practice after school tomorrow.. I have to go to a funeral."
I sighed annoyed, "Alright, thanks for letting me know."
She half smiled and walked up to our coach.
I hate having to act like a bitch all the time. It just doesn't work for me. But by being the head cheerleader and having a dad thats the head football coach for the best high school football team in Australia, your place on the social pyramid gets set for you.
I walked over to the bench where my bag is and grabbed my water.
"Have you guys herd the new gossip?" Chelsea smirked.
"No? Whats happening?"
"That kid Ashton fucked some volleyball player recently. Some are saying shes pregnant."
My eyes widened in shock. "Irwin?"
"Hmm hm, funny right? Since he's your dads water boy." She giggled.
I laughed with her. "Wow, he totally would do something like that." I lied.
Ashton and I were so close before high school started. Which was 3 years ago.
We haven't talked since I got on this team. He hates me now from what I've herd around school. But he's a water boy, if he wanted to get girls pregnant he would be a football player.
"Alright come on ladies, lets get back to it." I smiled walking back to the field.
"Oh, look who's coming over here." Cassandra smiled.
I turned around and then a pair of arms picked me up.
Luke.
He spun me around and set me back down.
"Hi, baby." He smirked pulling my waist towards him, giving me a kiss.
"Hello, sweaty." I giggled.
He got his hand and wiped his forehead then trying to wipe it on my face.
I screamed and ducked. "Luke! No!"
"Awe babe! I just want a kiss." He said trying not to laugh.
"Nope, too bad." I smiled. "I have to get back to practice while you have to go shower."
He smirked. "Alright Alex-andra."
"Don't call me by my full name, Lucas."
He stopped smiling. "Fine, you win!"
He hates it when people call him Lucas, I only use it when I have to ;)

"This is game night girls! lets get that boring ass crowd a little pumped!" Chelsea smiled.
"Hey, im coming over after the game. Alright?" Andy demands to me, trying not to smile.
"Sounds like a plan. Luke might come over to though."
"Thats fine with me, as long as you guys don't fuck in front of me." She smirked.
"Shut up." I laughed, rolling my eyes.
More and more people piled into the stadium and soon there was just a few minutes until the game started. The man who spoke into the microphone—broadcasting the game—was very optimistic and full of excitement. The fans were getting wound up. Us cheerleaders were warming up by doing kicks and different stunts. But I was standing on the edge of the field waiting to see Luke, Joey, Blake and my father come out.
"Thank you all for coming out tonight! Now here is what we have been waiting for! Make some noise for your West High Wolves!"
The crowd was standing up, hooting and hollering, pumping their arms in the air. The fog machines turned on and they the boys started running out of the wolf blow up, attached to the team room. They ran out as our team song got to the chorus.
I clapped my hands together and smiled widely. They started at the end-zone for more warm ups. After they finished, they jogged to the sideline and Luke came over and kissed me.
"If we win tonight... What do I get in return." He smirked.
I giggled and looked at the scoreboard before looking back at him. "Maybe a shower." I winked started to back away from him.
"I like the sound of that. I don't get a good luck?" He chuckles.
I strut back up to him and place my lips on his neck. Then I leave a kiss on his jawline, then a final passionate kiss on the lips. "Good luck, baby."
"Thank you, baby girl."
My stomach churned by the sound of his name for me. It always drives me crazy.
I go back to my girls and began to do our cheers.

"The Wolves lead a 32 to 10 at the end of first half! Lets see if these Trojans can get their game back on! If you haven't tried the new Vanilla Iced Coffee from McDonalds, you can get it from the snack bar now!"
Stupid fucking sponsors. Its ALWAYS McDonalds, I'm not knocking them of course because its mostly what i eat on my way to school in the morning, but cant our sponsor be like Nando's or Starbucks or something different?
The boys just went back into the team room and now we taking our spot on the benches, taking a breather before we have to get back up and stunt again.
A dirty blonde haired boy ran out across the field to the sideline and grabbed the last couple water bottles that he forgot. Ashton.
One bottle was laying next to my foot. Out of the generosity of my heart, I picked it up and called his name.
"Ashton? Do you need this?"
His head snapped over in my direction and then quickly walked over.
"Yup, thanks." He looked at me straight in the eyes before walking off. Ouch.
We used to be so damn close. He was the only one I had before Andy came into my life. Well Andy and Cassandra.
I just need to find a way to get him back.
