Three Years Later
Arnav entered his room carrying a huge bouquet of red roses. He scanned the whole room trying to spot Khushi was left disappointed when he found the room utterly silent and empty.
Arnav frowned. He made his way towards the balcony adjoining the room, throwing the bouquet carelessly on the bed.
Khushi was standing on the balcony, watching the ocean like she always did, lost in thought. Arnav sighed in relief.
He didn't know if was his protectiveness, his possessiveness or his fear, but whenever he couldn't find Khushi somewhere he expected her to be, he panicked a little. This panic was instantly replaced with joy, peace and satisfaction when he found her.
Arnav tiptoed up to her, a mischievous smile smile broke on his lips.
"Boo" Arnav screamed in Khushi's ear making her jump in her place and turn almost abruptly.
"Arnav.." Khushi breathed in relief, "What satisfaction do you get by doing this?"
Arnav shrugged, grinning at her.
Khushi shook her head, "Aapka kucch nahi ho sakta. (You're Impossible.)"
Arnav shrugged again, and kissed her forehead. "I missed you Jaan." He said softly.
"Who had told you to stay back for that stupid lunch meeting?" Khushi asked frowning cutely.
"You should've told me you were missing me too, I would've happily cancelled the meeting." Arnav said truthfully.
Khushi pouted, "Couldn't you use your own brain for once?" She asked
Arnav chuckled, "Okay I'm sorry my love. I won't ditch our lunch dates ever again." He said lovingly.
"Promise?" Khushi demanded cutely.
"Promise" Arnav kissed her nose.
Khushi giggled making Arnav smile softly at her. He pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. Khushi stopped laughing, her eyes met his chocolate pools full of passion, admiration and unbound love. Khushi stared back, lost in his eyes.
Seconds later, Khushi found herself pressed against Arnav's chest, their breaths mingling with each other, fanning their faces. Their eyes were still locked with each other.
"Arnav" Khushi breathed against his lips
Arnav's gaze flitted over her lips for a mere second before returning to her closed eyes. Arnav closed his own eyes, and their lips met in a gentle kiss.
"I love you so much Mrs. Raizada." Arnav said softly minutes after they parted from each other, in urgent need to respire.
Khushi returned the confession, burying her face in Arnav's chest. "I love you too Arnav."
"Where were you lost when I came back?" Arnav asked after breaking the hug.
Khushi shook her head, "It was nothing. I was just thinking, what kind of a mother I would be." She confided in him. Her hand flew to her (currently flat) belly on instinct.
Arnav smiled resting his own hand upon hers, "You'll be a great mother." He assured her "Besides, We still have more than seven months to prepare ourselves."
Khushi nodded slightly.
Arnav escorted her inside the room and made her sit on the bed. He himself crouched in front of her.
