I lay down in bed, blankly staring at the ceiling as his words start to cloud my mind.

'How was I supposed to stop it?'

'y/n I know what I did was wrong. But I was scared. I didn't know what to do!"

Scared of what? Losing his popularity?

Later that day, when I had confronted him about why he ignored me and left, he didn't even try to deny it.

Apparently he had known about it all along. Him being the reason I got bullied, that is. Unlike Irin or me, he could've easily stopped it since he was the one causing it in the first place. But he decided to stay shut because he didn't want to risk his popularity.

Now that I think about it, he used to enjoy girls fangirling over him quite a bit.
"You're still the only one I love, Y/N.", is what he would say whenever I asked him about it.

"Lying piece of shit." I say out loud.

He wouldn't have let me suffer for all this time if he actually cared for me.

"I was starting to think of a plan to make them break up but I guess I won't have to do it anymore."

"Damn, it would have been fun though. We could have named it 'mission break up' "

Hey, c-can I take a picture with you? " A girl asks randomly showing up to our table in the cafeteria.

Judging by her behavior, she is probably a freshman. She low-key lets out a squeal after hearing Zack say, "sure."

I am fuming with jealousy at this point. This girl is literally eating him up with his eyes while I'm standing right beside him. Can't he see that?

He stands next to the girl with a smile that clearly shows he's enjoying all the attention.

"Hey you, take a picture of us." She says handing her phone out to me.

What's with that tone?

I glare at Zack to which he only smiles with a shrug.
Nevermind. Control yourself Y/N. It's just a picture.

Just as I take the phone from her hand and hold it up, the girl scoots closer to Zack and locks arms with him. She rolls her eyes before asking "Can you be a little quick?"

Take a deep breath Y/N, just take a deep b-

Fuck this.

A series of gasps and whispers are heard when I deliberately drop the phone from my hand before stomping on it, making sure she can never use it again.

"Whoops" I say, with the best smile I could muster at that moment.

A fresh set of tears cloud my vision as I think back to the past year and all the memories of him with me.

Why couldn't he just be like those men in animes or movies?
