"Gym Class is literally my tailor designed hell" I whined following Steve into the gym to see Coach separating the girls and boys between the two halves of the gym. "You say that every time we have gym" he mentioned throwing his arm around my shoulder "So you understand by now then how much I hate this class" I nodded looping my arm around his waist as we waited for Coach to say what we were doing. "Gentlemen, you will be playing basketball today. Ladies, you can either run the track or watch the game" he called making me grin excitedly "Cheer loud for me" Steve grinned as I pulled away and sat front and center on the bench "Oh always Stevie my love" I pretended to fawn over him making him laugh as he walked over to his usual team. My attention drifted to the blue eyed heartthrob who had been avoiding me since yesterday's spat as he pulled his t-shirt off revealing tanned and toned skin. "See something you like shortcake?" he questioned his usual smirk adorning his face "It'd be better if it wasn't attached to your stupid face" I shrugged squeaking as his shirt hit me in the face "Must you hurt me babe?" he questioned an over exaggerated pout on his lips receiving an eye roll and a small smile. "Shut up Hargrove and get your ass over there" I rolled my eyes again watching as he walked onto the court and got into position to begin the game. I grew more and more agitated as Billy made it a point to taunt, prod and hurt Steve every chance he got. When the final whistle sounded I was on my feet and rushing to Steve who was laying on the floor breathing heavily. "Plant your feet. Draw a charge. You won't be so easy to push over" Billy grumbled just as I got over there and helped Steve to his feet. "You okay Stevie?" I asked quietly glaring at the blonde who was standing with a smirk on his face and hands on his hips "I'm fine Pip. I'll meet you at the car and drive you home" Steve nodded slowly "Okay." I agreed letting him go before I turned and headed to get changed to. "What no love for me?" Billy called "Go to hell Hargrove" I returned before the door separated us. Changing quickly I tossed my gym things into my locker and picked up my backpack jogging out of the locker room and to the parking lot.
"Hey Pipsqueak, can I talk to you for a second?" Billy's voice sounded my attention drawn towards the blue Camaro at the other end of the parking lot. Dropping my bag by Steve's BMW I made my way towards him stopping a few feet away and staring at him with my arms crossed over my chest. "What Hargrove" I sighed tapping my foot quickly wanting to get Steve and go home for the night. "So we're on a last name basis all the sudden?" he asked crossing his own arms as his eyebrow furrowed in irritation. "You slammed me into a locker, and slammed me into a locker again, not to mention the bruise on my bicep from where you grabbed me oh and when you so lovingly called me a bitch and a slut again" I smiled with no humor or honest emotion. "Now if you'll excuse me. I want to go home" I stated turning on my heel and walking away leaving the boy standing there as I slipped into the now running BMW. "You okay?" Steve asked throwing his arm over the back of the seat and backing out of the parking space, driving past Billy with his arm still in the same spot. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just ready for bed" I grinned pulling a cigarette out of his pack and lighting it inhaling deeply. "You're always ready for bed. And you're always stealing my smokes" he pointed out making me laugh "You have more money, therefore it's donating to the poor" I turned it around "I'm such a saint like that" he winked as he pulled into my driveway and I climbed out "Thanks Stevie. I'll see you later" I blew him a kiss as I walked away from the car and entered my house, closing and locking the door behind me. Dropping my stuff at the door I kicked off my boots and headed upstairs to shower and change into something more comfortable. I took my time washing my hair and shaving before I stepped out and pulled on an oversized t-shirt I had stolen from Steve the night before and a pair of boy short underwear. This is how I felt most comfortable. Quickly blow drying my long hair I threw it up into a messy bun before heading downstairs to get some food.
"Take your damn shoes off." I snapped walking into the kitchen to see Billy standing at the stove. "I show up in your house, unannounced while you're completely vulnerable and your concern is my shoes being on?" he turned around and asked eyes roaming up and down my body as I moved to the fridge pulling out a can of Coke and a beer for him. "I thought I heard the Camaro" I shrugged holding the can out to him before jumping onto the counter and opening my own can. "What ya making?" I questioned leaning over trying to figure out what he had in the pot. "Noodles. You don't have shit here" he grunted kicking off his boots and tossing them towards mine. "I usually don't eat dinner" I shrugged taking a drink of my pop as he rolled his eyes at me. "Whose shirt is that?" he asked suddenly making me snort "Steve's, why? You jealous Hargrove" I teased kicking my legs back and forth as he stirred the pasta. "What's there to be jealous of" he grunted making me roll my eyes. Jumping from the counter I finished off my coke and tossed the can in the garbage. "There's a couple spare bedrooms, bathroom is first door at the top of the stairs. Feel free to watch TV. Do whatever you want. I'm going to bed" I grumbled leaving the kitchen and heading up to my room. Pushing the power button on my stereo music started to sound and I collapsed onto my bed stomach first hands folded under my head. I wasn't really tired but I couldn't deal with his bullshit attitude. My body and head hurt and all I really wanted was everything to just stop for a while. I faintly heard his footsteps on the stairs before my door opened and he was groaning. "Can you put pants on" he asked lowly as I rolled over, the shirt riding up from the movements now nestled around my stomach. "Am I making it hard for you to be mad at me" I smirked sitting up and looking at him noticing how tired he looked.
