I remembered where Drika mom
stayed so I went there to talk to her about her being my boy sister. I had never heard that before so I was most definitely curious to know why.
I pulled up to the house and my cell phone started ringing off the hook. I rolled my eyes and looked at the caller ID. I saw it was Val. I knew she was gonna call.
"Yes baby." He said dragging his words like he was annoyed.
"No sir. Don't answer this damn phone like that. Where are you? We was suppose to be going out." Valerie said.
"Baby I know I know. I'm coming. I had to make one more stop. Please be patient with me."
"Landon this is getting out of control. Is it another woman?" Is that it?" She asked getting sad.
"No. It's not. I will never cheat on you. Please don't do that. I just had a business run I had to do for Dave."
"Dave? Dave? He's gonna be the reason you are single. Now get your ass here now so we can spend time together." She demanded.
"Baby I promise you are my best stop after this. You like to spend this money when I make it but you don't won't me to do what I got to do to make it."
"I never said that. You keep putting me on the back burner. And I'm tired of that."
"Baby I don't put you on the back burner. I promise after this I want go back out no more. I'll be all yours." He said in a soft voice.
"Ok fine. But I'm not waiting long. Hurry up." She said hanging the phone up.
Landon got out the car and walked to the door. He rung the doorbell and waited until
someone greeted him. No one came to the door. So he rings the bell again. He was about to walk off and the door came open.
"Can I help you?" The lady said.
Landon looked weird as he looked at the woman. This was not Drika mom.
"Um yeah. I was looking Mrs. Smith. Drikas mom." Landon said.
"You are looking for who?" She asked confused.
"Mrs. Smith." He said again.
"You can't be looking for her."
"And why is that?" He asked really confused to what was happening.
"Come in."she said opening the door for him to come in.
Landon walked in and looked around. The house still looked the same from the last time he was there.
"You want something to drink?" She asked him.
Landon sat down and put his hand over his face.
"Listen. I don't need anything to drink. All I want to do is talk to Mrs. Smith. Is she here? Let her know that Lan is here please."
He said.
She sat next to him and just looked at him. She didn't say a word to him. Landon looked back at her confused even the more to why she was not going to get her for him.
