Aaliyah POV

The next day after the whole kiss with Rue happened, I never felt more confused about my feelings.

I'm not sure if I just like her a lot or I might actually be in love with her. God, I really wish I knew which one but won't have much time since i'll be seeing her in school on Monday.

Could life get any more complicated for me.

" Liyah dinner's ready " my mom says while knocking on my door.

" Coming " I say while hopping out of bed and running downstairs.

I sit in between my dad and sister and it's an awkward silence until my dad breaks the silence.

" So Rue spent the night, last night " he ask while looking at me.

I instantly start blushing when he asks me that.

" Yeah " I say without looking up and continue picking at my food.

" Aw, is there something more going on between the two of you " my mom ask.

" No, not really " I say blushing.

" And why not, she seems like a sweet girl " my mom says smiling.

Just as my mom says that Le'Anna clears her throat causing me to look at her but she just turns her attention back to her food.

What's her problem ?

" Well, how about you invite her to dinner soon, along with her family " my dad says.

" I'll see but no promises " I say nervously.

Oh, boy what am I getting myself into?

Nicole POV

I still can't believe Nolan was actually talking to Aaliyah of all people, after hearing that she popped pills.

You would've thought that she would've turned him off, but to each's own.

I was scrolling through my news feed on Instagram when I saw I had a DM from Mike, Nolan's teammate.

" You still making videos Nic-Nic " he says smirking.

WTF nobody calls me Nic-Nic.

" Why are you asking me this " I say annoyed.

" I mean it isn't a secret if you're on a porn website " he says showing me his phone.

" What do you want Mike " I ask.

" It's no secret what I want " he says looking my body up and down.

Okay, this weird he and Nolan are best friends.

" Isn't Nolan like your best friend or something " I ask.

" Yeah, what's your point " he says shrugging.

Wow, so this means they must share girls too, ain't that something.

" Well, you still haven't told me what you wanted " " Fine, meet me after school and we'll talk about it" " I'll think about it " Hope this isn't a mistake.

Le'Anna POV

I was on the phone with Cassie she was babbling about Mckay just calling her his "friend" instead of his girlfriend, which was fucked up and I don't blame her but this Rue and Aaliyah thing is bugging me.

Why ? I don't know. I just don't want my baby sister to get hurt.

" Le'Anna, are you listening " Cassie says. 

" Yeah, I'm listening, I think it's dirty as hell what he did to you " I say.

" I know but he wants to meet up to talk about it " she says.

" Are you gonna go " I ask.

" I think so, I mean he told me he loves me so " she says nervously.

" I guess so just be careful that's all " I say.

" I will but what's bothering you " she asks.

How the hell she knew something was wrong with me ?

" What do you mean " I ask.

" I can tell when something's wrong because you get really quiet " she simply says.

Well guess it's no point of hiding it anymore.

" Well after the carnival Rue came over and spent the night with Aaliyah and I think Aaliyah might be falling for her " I say.

" Aw, what's the problem with that " she says.

Why does nobody else see anything wrong with this ?

" Well they're both recovering addicts, they're both still young and I don't want either one of them to get hurt " I say pacing in my room.

" Also Rue called me the other day and told me she had feelings for her other friend Jules. It feels like she's just dragging her along in some ways " I say slightly annoyed.

I could be reading to deep into it but I just don't wanna Aaliyah hurt.

" Well, you never said they were in a relationship so I think it's safe to say you have nothing to worry about. I understand how fragile Aaliyah is but you just have to stand by her side and remember she's only 17 so just give her chance, okay " she says gently.

Yeah she had a point there, so I guess I'll have to wait it out and see where it goes and hope for the best for the both of them.

If they do decide to give it a try, I'm gonna do my best and be there for the both of them.

" Hey you going to Daniel's Halloween party " I ask her.

" I'll try, Mckay invited me to the one they're having at his college " she says.

" Lucky you " I say.

" I know, right, well I have to meet McKay, talk to you later " she says.

" Yeah, good luck " I say.

" Love you " she says.

" Love you too " I say back before hanging up.

Time for a good night sleep, hopefully I can't find my prince charming but those guys only exist in fairy tales.
