"I mean, dude, you've gotta fight and speak up for this type of stuff."

Clarisse was lecturing Will as he set Drew Tanaka's broken wrist. He was surprised she could handle being in the same room as Clarisse, since, of course, she was the reason Drew was in the infirmary. Clarisse was fiercely overprotective of Will and when Tanaka made the slightest joke about Will being bi, Clarisse thought she was bullying him, as many Aphrodite girls had in the past, and tackled her.
Once Drew looked okay, and had consumed a couple bites of ambrosia and about a bucket of pain meds, (Will was thankful ambrosia got rid of withdrawal symptoms) he let her go back to her cabin to rest. He also filled out her paperwork, which proved difficult. He wasn't dyslexic like many demigods, or ADHD, because he wasn't really made to fight, but just filling out her paperwork was confusing.

   Patient history: lots of injuries from Clarisse, a couple burnt off eyelashes

Reason for visit: Clarisse again

Symptoms: ...wrist pain?

Diagnostics: slight wrist fracture

Meds administered: whatever we could find under "pain"

Next app.: next Sunday to assess fracture's healing."

He closed down the infirmary, but kept his pager on just in case. The emergency department was always open. Exhausted from a 16 hour shift only eating Gatorade and granola bars, Will stumbled out the door and headed towards the Apollo cabin.
Instead, he walked into Nico diAngelo.
There was no playful smirk on his face as he hugged and kissed will. He paused, then gave him the news.

"Chiron's in the big house. He's waiting for you."
Will felt like a school kid who was just called to the principal's office as he plodded over to the Big house. Did he forget to buy bandages? Maybe the EpiPen incident? That one time he teamed up with the Stolls on April fools day?
The door creaked open, and there sat Chiron in wheelchair form, a solemn look on his bearded face.

"Will, I'm sorry to have to tell you this now, but you have the right to know. Your mother has been having seizures and has contacted some sort of flu- like illness."
Will felt dizzy as he received the news. Anxiety was the only emotion he could feel.
"I'll grant you as much time as you want to take care of her," Chiron continued, "and if we need you back here we'll page you."

Will responded with a quiet thanks before sprinting back to his cabin where he collapsed with worry into his bunk. After remembering that he had to rush back to Texas from New York, he briskly, yet carefully packed his bags, and rushed out the door. He met Nico and Piper in the way and hugged each of them before running beyond the borders and into the mortal world.

Little did he know his mom was already in care.
