Percy Jackson one shots but mostly solangelo/will solace stuff

A medical Rivalry: part 3

He stared at what used to be his favorite place in the house before he discovered camp. His blue comforter was still spread nicely over his mattress, medical posters and pictures of famous scientists hanging on the wall. Will remembered when life was that easy, free of death and stress and sadness, his imagination being his world. His mother had thought he could've been the next Doogie Howser if he didn't daydream so much. He daydreamed about anything he could, castles with dragons, epic dramas in hospitals with his tv and real life idols needing him to save the day. Thinking back, Will felt selfish and boastful about this. Of course they wouldn't need him, what a crazy thought. Once he arrived at camp, he really realized how fragile life was. How it's strings could break in a second. Just like trust, once life was broken, it couldn't be repaired. He couldn't trust life.
  "Yo, Will, come down here a sec", he heard Jerk, Oh yeah, Josh,  call. Will really didn't want to see the guy's  face after the incident only a few minutes ago, but decided to go downstairs to explain himself. No one would really trust a 15 year old doctor.
Will slowly walked back down the steps and into the kitchen where his kind-of-stepdad- I- guess was waiting. Will was repectful and didn't glare twice. Only once. Josh didn't glare back.
" I was curious, very curious, as to who you are. You seem experienced for a kid."
"Well, of course I do, I've been healing people for 4 years now. I graduated when I was 12 and became a medic at age 11."

"...how?"

Will explained how he had gotten his degree, and  a basic, monster free description of his job back at camp. He talked about the cases he had and the other events he had been through.  Josh looked surprised, impressed even, until Will made the mistake he would regret. He started talking about Nico.
