The Fury Of A Mother

Ed was tired and groaned when he felt someone shaking him, asking for five more minutes only to suddenly hear Mustang shout his name from a distance. Confused Ed opened his eyes and looked around.

Seeing Scar, it all came back to him as he saw Batin off to the side. Turning to face the direction, he heard the Cornell from he was surprised to see the whole squad plus Hues.

When they finally reached Scar and Ed, Scar had stood up and was cradling Ed to his chest again. When Mustang reached them, he asked if Ed was ok receiving a small sad smile and a nod, only to suddenly see him break down all over again.

Startled they all, even Scar, tried to calm him down only for him to cry out in pain when he tried to move, causing everyone to freeze. When Mustang asked what was wrong, all Ed managed to say was hurts.

Understanding and sympathy washed over the group as well as fury. Everyone turned to look at Batin, who was awake now and trembling in fear of all the anger that seemed to be directed at him.

Everyone was a little surprised when Hawk-eye turned mother hen and was able to get Ed to calm down enough to fall back asleep, but not before they all heard him call her mom.

All eyes softened after that, only to turn angry again at the sight of Batin. Furious for what he did to someone she see's as a son Hawk-eye walked over to Batin and kicked him in the nuts, before punching him in the stomach as hard as she could causing him to cough up blood. Still not satisfied, she punched him in the face once before telling him to never come near her children again. Before knocking him out with the butt of her gun.

Finally satisfied, she walks back over to Scar and runs her hand over Ed's face. Ed still somewhat out of it nuzzles into her hand. The company thanked Scar and had him help Ed into Mustang's arms so they could get going after they got all the details he could give them as well as the location he followed them to. Once everything was settled, they headed back to the car to take Ed home and to get looked at.
