Feeling it was best if Ed woke up somewhere else, he walked over to Batin and picked him up as well. Then he left the room.

Once they were all outside, he threw Batin to the ground and started walking, dragging Batin behind him and shifting his hold on Ed to be more secure and comfortable.

After checking the address and memorizing it, he went to find a phone booth and called Central HQ asking for Mustang and that it was important.

When he got through to Mustang, he told him that he had Fullmetal and that he was injured. Furious Mustang demanded to know why he was calling and what he has done to Fullmetal, only to be shocked to find out that not only did he not hurt him but he had just saved him from a murderer that they have been after for weeks.

When asked what he planned to do with Ed and what happened to the rapist he learns that Scar planned to turn both Ed and the attacker over but not himself. Agreeing, Mustang asked for a location and told him he would only bring his crew. After telling Mustang the location to meet at he hung up and went back to where he had tied Batin to a railing.

Once he made it to the location, Ed started to stir. Upon opening his eyes, he was confused to see that he was being carried by Scar and asked where they were.

After confirming that yes Ed remembered everything, he told him that they were meeting up with Cornell Mustang and his crew to get both Ed back and arrest Batin who Ed saw was tied to a pole not far from where they were sitting.

When asked if it was ok if he could go back to sleep, Scar said it was fine and that he would wake him up when the others arrived.

Smiling gratefully, Ed drifted back to sleep in Scars arms, even though they both knew he would probably never show this kind of weakness in front of others again. After getting the location from Scar, Mustang ordered everyone to gather their gear.

When asked why, he said they were going to meet Scar to get Ed back and to arrest the murderer who attacked Ed. Informing them that Scar had saved Ed from the rapist. Upon seeing their horrified faces, he could only nod solemnly and head for the door. He had a subordinate to get and creep to arrest, and hopefully, Ed would be ok.
