Edward Saved By Scar

The End

The next time Ed woke up, he was in Mustangs office, and everyone was wondering about and talking to each other until Mustang saw Ed was awake.

"Edward?"

Once he said Ed's name, everyone turned to look at him with a smile and a relieved look. Wondering what was going on, he was asked if he remembered anything, looking sad and hurt he said he remembered everything.

After getting Ed's side of the story, they told him what happened while he was out. Batin was arrested and was to be put to death for all the murders and crimes he committed. Ed was ok but sick and since Al was out visiting Winry he was told he would be staying with Mustang and Hawk-eye until he was better and that they all would be keeping an eye on him to help him through this hardship until he was back on his feet.

Seeing Ed give them a grateful smile and realizing that his guard was still down worried them a bit.

"Thank you. I really appreciate what you are doing to help not only me but my brother as well."

About a week later, Ed was fully recovered and happened to be out in town when he spotted Scar. Feeling a little unsure, but wanting to thank him, Ed followed Scar a little way.

After a few blocks, Scar knew he was being followed by someone. Slowly, he led his tail farther and farther from the populated area until almost no one was around. Ed realized that while following Scar, he had gotten lost in thought was surprised when he started paying attention again and realizing that it was way too quiet. Looking around in confusion, he realized he had also lost track of Scar in the process of looking at his surroundings.

Sighing Ed turned to leave only to catch a glimpse of something in the window next to him. Turning to look, he sees it was Scar standing right behind him about to attack.

Shouting out in shock, Ed dodged the attack and stared at Scar in surprise. It took Scar a second to realize that the one that was following him was Edward and not some random stranger.

Upon seeing just who had been following him, Scar relaxed and asked Ed why he was following him.

"I wanted to say thank you for saving me and for getting me back to the Cornell."

After having said that Ed did something he would normally never do. He hugged Scar and asked if he could hang out with him for a little while before he had to go back. Scar agreed, but only after reminding Ed that after this, they were enemies again and not to expect him to save his life next time he's in trouble.

Smiling, Ed replied.

"I wouldn't have it any other way, but now I  know that you have a nice side to you too."
