I jump up and fly above the houses to look if I see anything.
My eyes scan the area. Bingo
I see some older guys ganging up on a girl.

I fly closer.
"Let me go you son of a-"
She is pushed to the ground.

Before I can see who it is I zoom down.

"Hey!" I yell.

I grab two of the guys and throw them against a car shattering the glass.

Whoops.

I then grab the other guy and throw him on top of the other two.

They scramble up and run away.

I run over to the girl who is on the ground grabbing her stuff.

"Are you okay?" I ask frantically.

"Yeah yeah I'm okay." She nods.
I offer her a hand which she hesitantly takes.
I lightly pull her up.
She pulls her hood off.

Oh sh*t.
Kate.

I begin to panic.
My heart starts racing and I get all sweaty.

"Um uh. Do you need me to take you home?"
I ask.

"No I'm okay." She gives a light smile.

"Well um . ... Where's your brother?" I ask .

"What?" She gives me a scared frantic look.

"Ya know what um just um be careful of strangers." I zoom away.

I go into a near alley where I can still see her.

"Shazam." I say quietly.
The lighting hits a trash can making a loud noise.

"What the he*l?" I hear Kate say.

Uhhhhhhhh.
She's coming.

"Shazam!"
I quickly fly above the building. And land on the side walk on the other side.

"Shazam." I whisper.

I change and run around the corner running right into Kate.

Wow Billy.

"Billy?" She asks.

"He-hey Kate how's it going?" I breath heavily.

How's it going? She just got mugged!

"Okay....what are you doing here ?" She asks .

"Nothing just taking a walk." I say awkwardly.

Awkward silence.

How are you liking Philly?

"Well um I'm gonna go..." She turns and begins to walk away.

"Can I walk you home?" I say quickly.

"Um." I say.

Billy stares at me waiting for an answer.
I shouldn't.
I mean I could.
But its not such a good idea.
If I didn't that would be rude.

Okay Kate man up and say no.

"Okay so is that a n-" I cut billy off.

"Yes." I smile.

He gives me a smile

We walk in silence.

"So how do you like Philadelphia?" Billy asks.

"Um not liking it so far. I got attacked by some guys. I miss Florida." I shrug.

"Um yeah. A lot colder here." I say.

I dump my backpack on the floor.
I start walking towards the couch when..

"No! Do not start with those bad habits here Kate." My mom shouts from the kitchen.

I groan and pick it up setting in the hook by the door.

"Thank you." She continues whatever she's doing.

I slump on the couch by kodi.
We sit in silence and watch dumb and dumber.

I can't stop thinking about billy.
His cute dimples.
His green eyes.
His chocolate hair.
Ughh what is the matter with me.
I need to stop.

"He likes you, ya know." Kodi scrolls on twitter.

"What?" I stare at him.

"I'm your twin brother dummy I know you're thinking about him." He looks up at me.

"Who?" I ask bluntly.

He stares at me.
And raises his eyebrows.

"That billy kid." He smirks.

I feel my face heat up.

"No. I wasn't thinking about him and he does not like me. We just met smart one." I unlock my phone.

"Okay whatever." I points his attention to the TV.

I sigh and walk to my room.

I change into sweats and a hoodie.

And put my hair in a low bun.
I flop on my bed and scroll Instagram.

I search the name billy batson.

Plenty of results show. But the 4th down says:
billy batson⚡
there's a picture of him and Freddie by superman.
Thats cool.

I click on the profile.

His bio says.

Just a normal kid living a normal life.

Hm.

Not your basic bio.

its a public profile.

He has 3 pictures.

One of him and his family.
Is he adopted?

The next one is his profile picture.

And the last one is a selfie of a little girl and the caption is:
#hacked love darla❤

My heart swells.

I follow him and 5 minutes later he follows me back.
