\\A/N before we start... i just wanna say thanks to silverwingsdragon for giving me the idea for the plot and bitterestlemonboy for beta reading it. also, i feel nervous about writing this, i hope i do well as i haven't written a story in awhile, so uh- enjoy!//
We all finally got done with another season of BFDI. I felt a bit of relief, even though I know another season will probably start again.. Oh, who am I kidding, of course there'll be another season. There always is! At least we have time to ourselves for awhile. I decided to go lay under a tree to think about stuff. After awhile, I see Coiny approach me. "Do you mind if I sit here?" He asked me. "Go ahead." He laid down next to me. "Sooo, whatcha doing over here?" Coiny questioned. "I don't know, just thinking, I guess." I sat up, Coiny doing so as well. "Thinking about what?" He asked me. I looked around for a bit and answered, "I'm going to be honest with you Coiny, I'm getting kind of tired of repeating the same thing over and over." I let out a sigh. "What do you mean?" He asked. "I mean the show! BFDI! We've been doing season after season of this show! I just... y'know, want to do something different for once." I sighed in frustration. "Oh. Yeah, I can understand that, it is turning into a pattern, isn't it?" I hugged my knees to my chest while I looked around at everyone else in the distance. They're all chatting and hanging out, having fun. Wish I wasn't so bothered by this so I can be like that right now.
"Well, what is it you want to do?" Coiny asked me. I looked over at him in confusion. "Huh?" "I mean, you don't have to be in the next season, you could do anything! What is something that you want to do that would be different enough for you to enjoy?" I hadn't thought about that, I really didnt have to be in another season if I wasn't there. I thought for a moment before speaking. "Well... I think I want to go off on some sort of... cool adventure, and find things that I could keep...like treasure! Or something else! That seems like something fun to do." I told him. "Huh, sounds like a pirate." Coiny joked. I laughed, but then thought about it. Being a pirate actually doesn't sound that bad. It sounds pretty fun, actually. "Oh my pin factory, Coiny! That's a good idea!" I turned towards him excitedly. "It is..?" Coiny seemed pretty confused about what I meant. "I should be a pirate!" Coiny just stared at me for a moment before laughing a little awkwardly. "You...do know I was joking, right?" He said. "Yes, I know, but think about it, Coiny! Traveling on the water, possibly meeting others, gathering treasure! Coiny, that's more than we ever get during BFDI!" I was sitting on my legs now, facing Coiny directly. He thought about it for a moment. "Hm.. That does sounds pretty fun, so count me in!" Coiny said. I was ecstatic that Coiny wanted to join me and my pirate adventure. "We should see if anyone else wants to join!" I said, standing. Coiny stood up too. "Yeah, we should!" "Come on, Coiny!" I excitedly grabbed Coiny's hand and ran over to where most of the others were.
COINY'S POV
Pin dragged me over to where most of the other contestants were. I saw that Pin was about to shout something, probably to get their attention, but she hesitated. I think she was doubting herself again. I decided to shout for her. "HEY, EVERYONE! PIN HAS SOMETHING TO SAY!" I shouted pretty loud, I'm pretty sure I even startled Pin. After hearing me, everyone looked over at the both of us. Their faces were a mixture of annoyance and confusion. Pin just stood there looking back at everyone. I nudged Pin and she looked at me. I whispered, "C'mon, you can do it." Then, I smiled at her. She smiled back, took a deep breath and announced what she wanted to say. "Hi, i would like to know if... any of you want to be pirates with Coiny and I? Like, actual pirates. We're going to go on a pirate ship and go on an adventure around the sea." Everyone just sorta stared at her blankly. "There will be treasure..." She squeaked out. Still no reaction other than a few glances.
Pin was starting to get visibly nervous, until out of the crowd we heard, "I want to go!" Leafy stepped up to us. "It sounds fun!" Leafy smiled. Pin gave a sigh of relief when she saw that at least one person wants to join. "Can I come too?" Firey asked and walked up to us. " I mean, I've already won BFDI before so who cares if I miss one season." Firey said. "True, thanks for joining." Pin said. "Yes! Firey, nice to have you in the crew, pal!" I said as we high five. "Well, I want to come too! You're my friends after all." Needle said and walked up. Pin looked delighted to have needle on the team. Snowball walked over to us. "we'll be able to fight with swords and stuff, right?" He asked Pin. Pin looked over at me, then back at Snowball. "Erm...maybe?" Pin answered with an awkward smile. "Eh, good enough for me, count me in." He stood next to us. Ruby walked over to us. "I feel like this will be pretty fun so i want to join! I hope we have swoooords! And find lots and lots of trasure!!" Ruby said. Flower pushed a few people out of the way to make it over to us. "well, Snowball and Ruby want to come so I will too!" Flower said. "Plus, I wanna be rich!" I noticed Pin glacé at me before looking back to Flower. "Oh. Er, nice to have you?" She says looking like she didn't really want Flower to join, but she didn't reject her.
We looked at everyone around to see if anyone else would join. Silence. "anybody else want to join us?" Pin said, looking at everyone. Then, Gaty walked up to us and said, "No offense pin, but this pirate thing sounds kinda dumb." Gaty then walked off. I was about to yell at Gaty for calling Pin's plan dumb but then Liy said, "And anyway, we'll be competing in another season soon, we don't have time for that mumbo jumbo." Then followed Gaty. Most of the others agreed and followed her too. Pin looked a bit sad from the insults. Needle scoffed, "They'll be missing out, then." Leafy agreed, "Yeah, we'll be the ones having fun and not them!" Pin smiled a bit and I said, "They just don't know how great your plans are." Pin smiled and laughed a bit, feeling a lot better than before.
PIN'S POV
"Thanks guys." I said after they cheered me up. "Speaking of plans, we should start planning on what we will be bringing with us." Leafy told us. "Right, and we'll need a map too! All pirates have a map!" Firey spoke up. "Yeah, you're right." Coiny agreed. I looked at Firey for a second before realizing. "Wait, Firey, what if you end up burning the ship down?" I said, a bit worried. "That's true, what are we going to do about that?" Needle said in the same worried tone. "Oh, I don't know what to do about that." Firey said. Leafy seemed to be thinking, probably of what to do with Firey, or maybe about what she'll bring with her on the trip. Suddenly she perked up. "What if we brought yoyle berries with us?" Leafy took out a yoyle berry that she had on her. "Firey can eat them and be metal so he can't burn down the ship!" Leafy suggested and handed Firey the berry. "Omg, that's so smart! Good idea, Leafy." Ruby said. "Yeah, what Ruby said!" I agreed, happy that we found a solution. "Wait, where are we even going to get a ship from?" Coiny asked. "Don't worry about that, I've got it handled!" I said confidently. "wait, Leafy, do you have any other yoyle berries on you?" Firey asked. "well, uh, no, that was the only one I had on me." Leafy chuckled nervously.
After a little planning, Coiny stood beside me as the others stood in front of us. "So, Pin and I will go get the yoyle berries while you guys get everything you need." Coiny confirmed, seeing as it was the final result of our ideas. "Seems reasonable." Flower agreed. "Okay, and Ruby, you're sure it's okay for Coiny and I to use the Freesmart Super Van?" I asked her. "yeah, sure! We never use it anymore anyway." Ruby replied with a shrug. "Kay, now let's go!" Coiny cheered as he walked over to the Freesmart Super Van and hopped into the passenger side. The others left to go get everything they need as I followed Coiny to the van and sat on the driver's side.
