FLOWER'S POV

Ruby and I were on my bed just talking to each other. I was showing off my improved eyepatch, now that I have finished sewing on a heart to it. Ruby seemed to love it, wishing she could have one. Despite focusing on our friendly conversation, I would ever so often look at Leafy. I was getting tired of seeing her all mopey. She even had her pirate gear off.

"Leafy, what's got you all upset? You're usually the happy one." I ask. Leafy didn't respond right away.  I was about to ask again, but Leafy finally answered with, "Since when did you care?" Hm. I decided to climb down from my bunk and sit across from her, on Pin's bed. "Since now, so fess up." I crossed my arms, studying her expression. She glanced at me, then sat up. Ruby seemed to have climbed down too, and sat next to me on Pin's bed.

"Well, uh, I've been having a lot of thoughts lately, not just because Pin got mad at me, but what she said really made me think about..everything." Leafy admitted, looking at the wall rather than either of us. Ruby chimed in, leaning forward as she asked, "like what? what's everything?" I look at her. "Oh no, are we therapists now?" I spoke out loud, instead of in my head. Leafy flinched when I said that. "Uh, you don't have to listen to my problems," Leafy rubbed her arm as she talked, "I'm sorta used to keeping them to myself, anyway." Ruby waved her hands in front of herself. "No, no! It's okay, leafy," She exclaimed, "If Flower doesn't wanna listen, that's her problem, but I'm all up for listening!" Ruby got up and sat next to Leafy.

Honestly, I felt sort of bad for what I said. I don't usually feel bad. This is weird. "No, it's uh- it's okay, s-sorry?" I apologized, hoping that was enough to get Leafy to talk about whatever it is that was bothering her. She widened her eyes, shocked that I apologized. Which, made me feel a little awkward but whatever. "It's.. It's okay, I guess." Leafy replied, rubbing the back of her head. I moved over next to Leafy, just like Ruby. "So, Leafy.. What's this 'everything' that you're thinking about?" Ruby questioned.

Leafy looked down at her hands, fidgeting with her fingers. "Well, it's... everything. Since the last episode of BFDI I have been having problems." Leafy explained. "Oh, like when you hid in Yoyleland during BFDIA and everyone was scared of you?" Ruby asked, inquisitively. Leafy nodded sadly. I wasn't really there during BFDIA, so I didn't really know what happened. It made it harder to help. "Well, it's okay now, right? Everyone pretty much forgave you." I said, trying to put more effort in the conversation. Leafy turned to me. "But did they?! What if they all still secretly hate me!?" She started, "I've done so many bad things, I'm sure no one actually forgave me!"

LEAFY'S POV

Flower furrowed her brows at me. "Well, I forgive you! If I can do that, so can everyone else!" Flower exclaimed at me, crossing her arms as she continued, "If they don't, then they obviously aren't worth you time!" I stared at her in disbelief. Flower is really being a good... friend? Are me and Flower friends??
"Wow, uh, thanks Flower." Is all I could say. "Yeah, yeah, don't mention it." Flower waved her hand at me, looking away. Ruby turned to her with a bright smile. "Dang, Flower, that was some good comforting!" She said, patting her on the back. "Um, thanks," Flower responded sheepishly, "It's my first time, so don't expect much."
