She woke up with LIFE,
with eyes so BRIGHT,
wiggling with LAUGHTER,
not a fear in SIGHT.
As she opened her EYES,
she saw a tall FIGURE,
lifting her in MID-AIR,
stroking her with full CARE.
She suddenly stopped LAUGHING,
as the voice started CRACKING,
forces PULLING her mom away,
PINCHING and SLAPPING.
She knew it WASN'T her fault,
she had to do SOMETHING,
she YELPED with all her MIGHT,
SCREAMING and JUMPING.
Her voice SHOOK the midnight sky,
Only a FEW people to hear her cries,
RUSHING up the hospital stairs,
searching them in TIME.
She HUGGED her like she never did,
with no WORDS to speak,
tears making her eyes BLUR,
she suddenly cried,
WHY HER!
