Kobi looked around for any possible sign of danger --- a monster, the devices, a human --- but there weren't any. He heard Tina's childish sigh. “My boots are soaked for some reason...”

He held her hand firmly. “Come on, we've got to leave this forest. It's dangerous to linger around here.” He told her in a hushed tone, looking around the forest as he spoke. “Okay.” She answered, mimicking his quiet voice with a grin.

It was likely because of her presence that he felt more relaxed, but twice more on guard...if that was even possible.

The pair crept around, searching for an exit, or maybe a shelter. The rainforest had lots of houses, of course, the population did reach its peak in some point of time, but none of the houses were livable. Some were almost breaking, some crashed with just one step, some were filled with trash, some had animals living in them.

“Mr. Kobi, can't we settle down already? I'm tired...” Tina complained. Kobi looked at her in annoyance. “I'm tired too, but you don't see me complaining.”

“But you're a big guy, while I'm just a soft, cuddly child!” She complained some more.

He sighed, cursing under his breath. “Fine!”

To Tina's surprise, Kobi crouched in front of her. “Come.” He muttered. Tina grinned and immediately climbed on his back. Kobi groaned and carried her.

“You're such a pain.” He mumbled, but Tina remained unaffected, still smiling ear to ear.

His complaint was a lie, because Tina was unsurprisingly light as a feather. Perhaps it was because she was a child after all.

Why does he even doubt the fact? Simply by looking at the way she fashions herself, it's obvious that she's a young girl.

Something about the way she acts sometimes makes me doubt her age. It's as if she's tricking me into thinking that she's young...

He glanced at her, making him meet her green eyes. “Yes, Mr. Kobi?” She attentively quired. Kobi ignored her and looked ahead.
