A Glitch In Time

Beep beep, beep beep, my alarm sounded.

I woke up and found myself on the floor with my alarm clock, I must have rolled and knocked it over. I got up, did some exercises and went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, had my bath put on some clothes, and on my room door was a poster that said ' today is the first day of the rest of your entire life ' I don't even understand it.

My dad wasn't in the country, he was to arrive early tomorrow morning, so it was just me and my mum who had gone to work by now, usually she would have left a note but she didn't

I went downstairs forbreakfast then I left for school, I met with my friends David and Danielle heart, they were twins.

"hey James" they said,

"Hey guys" I replied

"so, tell us how you feel about the fight today "Danielle asked me, with her hands at my mouth like a microphone.

"oh I'm working on it."I said into the supposed 'microphone'.

"Ha" David said

"guys don't worry, I have a plan. Im sure he'll leave me alone if I give him 20 dollars"

"you want to bribe him? And I thought I was dumb" said David

"well what am I supposed to do"I asked

"I know", Danielle said "put him in detention, whatever you have to do, just make sure a teacher sees him doing something wrong, which isn't unusual, and then you have enough time to make a run for it"

"Okay that's a good plan "I said

"speak of the devil" dave said

At first I was confused then I saw Jeff
"oh no" I said

then he and his posse walked over to us.

then he said " Jason ma man, long time no see."
He liked miscalling people's names

"Um I saw you yesterday"I said

" you're lucky that there is a hospital right next to the school, cause when I'm done with you, you are going to need it" he said totally ignoring me.

then Danielle cut in "you're the one who is going to need the hospital when James is done with you, he is going to teach you a lesson "

"I am?"I said getting worried I mean maybe I could take down Jeff one on one, because I think he only looks tough, but his gang of six were just too much

"yes you are "Danielle continued "and guess what, he's not scared of you anymore. He has been working out and... "

"Keep it Nora, I wasn't talking to you" then he turned to me "just be there at 3:00"

"Oh he will be, and my name isn't Nora, it's Danielle " Danielle said

"Whatever" Jeff said and left with his gang

"what was that "I said

"don't worry he'll be at detention today remember " Danielle said
