The slammed behind us and the man stood behind me hand resting on my shoulder so he could lead me over to penguin and his guards. Soon we both stood in front of his large desk where he was sitting and two guards stood on each side of him holding guns and knifes on the side of there hips
"Ah Ed! It's great to see and with our guest!" Penguin clapped his hands together stood up and smiled, so Ed was his name...
"Yes I was able to Knock James out and bring her here" he smirked and pushed me forward gently Penguin came up to me and smiled "now Y/N I hope you know that we are going to return you to Hugo and put that chip in your head" he smiled and I gulped "please don't do this-" I begged but he put up a finger to shush me "ah no begging I've made up my mind" but Ed was quick to barge into the conversation
" Oswald. Is it really necessary?" He questioned and pulled me to the side and I titled my head I couldn't understand why he was helping me I've never even meet him before.
"Ed why are you protecting her exactly?" Oswald questioned and got closer to Ed and I could see anger boiling in his eyes and fist bawled up. Ed bit his lip and didn't say anything he looked to the side then spoke "because Oswald I don't think we should waste anything on this stupid girl, she doesn't seem that strong and wouldn't do well protecting the club" he made eye contact with Oswald then glanced at me. Should I feel offended by this? I mean he was protecting after all but I didn't know why and he did just insult me... Oswald shook his head and leaned back against his desk "Fine but only because your my friend Ed and I respect you" I felt a wave of relief wash over me and I couldn't help but smile but it instantly faded when one of his guards came and grabbed me by the forearm and forcely dragged me towards Penguin "if I ever cross paths with you again or you with Edward you will have a chip in your head" he smirked "this is your only warning... show her out and Jim Gordon" Penguin sighed and I let out a small yelp as I was dragged out the door but before I was all the way out of the room my eyes locked with Edwards for a moment and then the large doors shut and I haven't seen him since.
