this room decor is actully really simple to pull off!
colour wise, most of the rooms tend to stick to a neutral colour scheme— either white, grey or tan/beige. this is good because a lot of the clothing and accessories have bolder colours, so pictures taken in your room will balance out.

black and white posters and pictures look great on the walls. they don't even have to be of older bands if you like more current artists! you can edit them black and white and print them out at a local store. another thing to put up is records and/or the album cover the record came in, and polaroid photos!

if possible, when it comes to furniture, you could thrift for older/antique pieces or take some objects from family members. anything wooden gives off really nice vintage vibes.
